Friendly check-in, top floor corner room very spacious and quiet at night - great blackout curtains. Unseasonably high temperatures meant room very warm, difficult to sleep even with air conditioning on full and two borrowed tower fans on high.

We spent three nights at the Mercure in Bilbao, chosen for its location with easy access to the city centre and with a private car park. The staff were all fluent in several languages, friendly and welcoming, the room was extremely comfortable and the bistro, while offering only a short menu and pintxos, was the perfect place to relax.
