This was our first time in Bilbao and we were booked in for 2 nights. The parking was easy to find and was spacious and secure. We were greeted by the staff who were extremely helpful and efficient. The female member of staff (unfortunately I cannot recall her name) was very helpful in suggesting where we could visit in our short stay and where we would find very good bars and cafe”s. Very good knowledge. The room was comfortable and a reasonable size for our needs. The breakfast was amazing! Fantastic. It had everything we could have wanted from cereals, meats and cheeses to cooked bacon, sausages, beans and eggs. There was fresh fruit in abundance (which I loved) and an assortment of fresh breads with jams, honey and chocolate for the children. Then pastries to finish off with fruit juices and coffee. A prefect way to start your day! Even though the breakfast finished at 11 o”clock the staff made sure that the bowls of food were filled up! For those late arrivals. The hotel is situated fairly close to the centre of the city and all the main shops.15 to 20 minutes walk and you were down by the river at the Guggenheim museum starring up at ‘The Puppy’. To the left of this museum was a really lovely park. It seemed as though everywhere you looked there was something to see. 15 minutes and you were walking across the bridge to the Old Town. Fabulous buildings and full of bars and restaurants. On leaving the hotel we checked out with ‘Igor’, who was very polite and helpful in checking that we had enjoyed our short stay. The staff were a credit to the hotel! We really enjoyed our short stay in Bilbao. We will return and hopefully make it a longer stay. We definitely enjoyed Bilbao and would thoroughly recommend this hotel! Thank you.

We completely understand how this could have created the wrong impression. We would like to reassure you that we do not manually select the recipient of our guest surveys. They are sent automatically by our property management system. We recently changed to a new system that was presented to us as being very modern. Judging by your experience, however, it seems it may still have a few habits left over from the 1950s! We will investigate this issue with our IT department to understand why this happened and ensure it is corrected as soon as possible. We certainly do not want any guest to have this experience again.
