Welcoming reception with adjoining bar restaurant all well appointed and with friendly staff. Lift to all floors. Good size and well laid out bedrooms with especially comfortable king size beds and efficient aircon. Good value breakfast. A bit remote from centre of Bilbao but regular bus service close by. Overall a very satisfactory stay.

We were charged 15€ for allowing the dog in the hotel, no present for the dog, went for dinner and get the information that the dog is not allowed. I asked why and got the information that it is the law Before this hotel we went to B&B hotel in Madrid, dog received a bag with treats, some material and he was allowed in the restaurant, for the same price as in Ibis. The hotel chooses then what they apply apparently but if you announce dogs welcome and they are not allowed in the restaurant, then put at least the information about the hotel, which wasn't mentioned at all! The woman of the reception told me that it was my responsibility to get this information! Nice service!!! They gave me the key for my bedroom, first one didn't work, came to get another key, didn't work either, for the third came the man of the reception (only one speaking French which didn't interest me) and he managed to open the door with his own key. This seemed to be a known problem of this bedroom. After driving for more than 1000 kilometers, the only thing you want is a peaceful arrival, nice dinner to then relax for the next day trip. Upon arrival I was charged directly the fee for the dog instead of letting me pay by check-out, for the dinner I had to pay straight which I never did since the start of my membership at All-Accor. Not getting the trust of being a faithful and trustful customer gives me a hotel not worth a visit. I expect a refund for the dog and a compensation for the treatment at the hotel. The only person who deserves a compliment was the young boy working at the restaurant, he explained nicely the things and he was very friendly. His name was Markel if I remember well.

Services were great, checking in and out was quick and smooth. Room is big enough and comfortable. However we got bag allergic reaction from the possible bed bugs from the extra bed.

I will definitely stay again and would like to highlight the amazing staff. Every single member of staff I spoke to was helpful, kind and courteous. Hector on reception was great when I checked in with my dogs and made the whole process simple and speedy. My only slight issue was no plug sockets on the bedside tables, luckily I had a long charging cable with me.

The hotel was difficult to find on google maps. We didn’t check in until about 1900 and there was a big queue at reception, as the hotel is obviously a popular hotel for construction workers. There were only 2 ladies on reception, and they took ages to check the construction guys in. I stood in the queue for about 25 minutes. The room was basic but spotlessly clean, and the hotel was dog friendly. The breakfast was adequate, with cereals, pastries, fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, tea, coffee and fruit juice. It was a very convenient location to the Brittany Ferries Port Terminal.

Whilst the room and facilities were very good, I do have an issue with the hotel about the policy regarding dogs. I have no objection to the hotel being dog friendly but I do object strongly to the hotel allowing owners to let their dogs sit on the sofas in the reception area.

Only thing is the food menue not very good if vegetarian, plus on our night there was a party of about 50 for dinner , we got the impression we were in the way , not very helpful when it came to ordering food.

Booking confirmation email promised Room with a double bed. Free Wi-Fi, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and a bathroom with a shower. No safe, no tea and coffee making facility and room heater did not work. Room temp would not raise above 15 degrees.
