Everyone was incredibly professional, attentive, and kind, making our stay truly comfortable and memorable. In a difficult period of our lives, your support and warm attitude meant more to us than words can express. We have just got back from a 2 week holiday at the Fairmont. Without a doubt the Jewel in the Crown of the Fairmont are their wonderful staff! We arrived in the early hours of the morning to be greeted by Khalid the concierge who from the very beginning welcomed us with a smile that continued throughout our stay. Our next meeting with a staff member was Addi at the swim up bar at the children’s pool who is a shining star who explained the day to day running of the bars/pool areas. We spent most of our time at the adults pool. We were disappointed that the swim up pool was not open but the staff at the adult bar were more than accommodating. Kouhuk and Anjali really made our holiday! Totally professional, helpful, always smiling. We spent many hours talking to them, hearing their plans for the future, talking about their families and how well Fairmont looked after them. Cyril was always great at the bar. Karuna and Chanchal were the beautiful ladies that greeted us everyday at the Canvas restaurant again with a smile and friendly chat. The staff in the restaurant were amazing and a special mention goes out to Lani and Shine who we really took to. Always smiling, always ready to help. In fact all the staff in the restaurants were brilliant. A final shout out goes to Ashwini at reception who went above and beyond to make our stay special. I would highly recommend eating at Lava, it’s a shame they are not open of an evening, the food there is amazing! The Copper Lobster is also worth a visit. We were able to speak to the general manager, Abdelrahman complimenting him on the running of his hotel who actually knows the names of every member of his staff….to me that’s a sign of a very good boss! Overall we had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel.

We have just returned from a week in December 2025 at this hotel, and I must say, I was blown away by how lovely everyone was and how well the hotel was cleaned and maintained. I can be quite picky, but the service here exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay, the staff helped us, smiled, and laughed with us. They complimented us on how wonderful we looked each night (flattery really works!). The tips were not asked for or expected, but it was nice to offer them, as they worked so hard to deliver everything we requested. We tipped in local currency, not dollars. We opted for the all-inclusive package, as we enjoy having no restrictions. Even with that, you receive 100 UAE/DM to spend on food, which allowed us to enjoy burgers and salads by the pool—all included! There are four main dining options: the all-inclusive restaurant- Canvas, the pool bar- Canvas Pool Bar, the children's area restaurant- Lava, and the Copper Lobster. At the Copper Lobster, 100 DM of your daily all inclusive allowance goes towards your meal, with the remainder payable in cash, by card, or charged to your room. The food was amazing, and I’ve posted some photos of the fresh lobster. The restaurant is beautifully set up, and the service is excellent, wine and oysters—a real treat for one or two of your nights. Be sure to book in advance for at least one night here. I want to give a shout-out to the wonderful kitchen staff. The chefs came out at every meal to ask if everything was okay and offered to cook something special, like a grilled meat platter. They were happy to accommodate requests, such as offering chips if you asked. Some comments about restrictions stem from just looking at the meals in the serving dishes, but the kitchen staff were eager to prepare other options. The food was also very local inspired, featuring grilled fish, lots of seafood, curries, Humus to die for and stews with rice. There was a huge and varied salad bar, fresh bread, and a variety of desserts, including an ice cream machine where you could serve yourself as much ice cream in a cone as you wanted. While there were no chicken nuggets and chips on the main menu, the offerings were tasty and influenced by local cuisine. If you wanted chips, burgers, or pizza, the restaurant by the pool served those options. One of the great features of the hotel is that there are two pools located quite far from each other. The adults-only pool is a perfect spot to relax with chilled music and a bar, away from children. The lifeguard keeps an eye on the sunbeds, and if a bed has been left empty for over an hour, the towels are removed and replaced, ensuring you can always find a spot to lay in the sun and relax. The children's pool, known as the red pool, was buzzing with activity. It has a shallow gradient for children to wade in, along with numerous activities each day and a nearby restaurant and bar. I admit we didn’t use this area during our stay, but it seemed to be a hit with families. The night entertainment was primarily geared towards children in an area away from the main part of the hotel, but the bar remained open late by the adult pool. If you’re looking for nighttime activities as an adult, you will need to plan to leave the hotel to find them. We booked the Deluxe room, which was spacious, with a bed that you really sink into and a generous size. We had a balcony that looked out over the “Marina view,” primarily overlooking the gardens and pool towards the sea but was quiet. We enjoyed the evening sun in December, while the temperature remained cool throughout the day, and we had strong air conditioning if needed. The bathroom was also large, featuring a separate toilet area that could be closed off for privacy, while the bathroom itself could be opened to the rest of the bedroom by shutters. We did use the Spa and it was amazing. We had the Cleopatra experience as a couple and it was 3 hours worth of body scrub, massage, herbal tea and the experience of hot oils being massaged into your head. I would have gone every day if I could and we paid for the 2 of us - 1330DM Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, when the manager comes round to check on your stay personally, to see that everything is as it should you know you're in a good place.
