The resort, for what is a reasonably new building and not long open still appears unfinished, and appears to aim at the package holiday markets - Dinks served in cans, cocktails in paper cups, was not what was expected.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Mövenpick Resort Ras Al Khaimah. This was honestly one of the worst “5-star” and “All Inclusive” experiences I have ever had. Food Quality & Variety: The food was extremely poor in both quality and variety. There was no lamb, no barbecue, no seafood, no fish, and no proper food stations (no BBQ station, no seafood station, no pizza station, no ice cream station). The pizza was one of the worst I have ever eaten — dry dough, cheap tomato sauce, barely any toppings, and tasteless chicken, if you were lucky to find any. Salads from lunch were reused again at dinner with no change, no freshness, and no improvement. There was absolutely no variety, no flavor, and no five-star standard. Even basic items such as Arabic desserts (like kunafa) were completely missing. On the second night, I suffered food poisoning and spent the entire night vomiting. When we complained, the chefs came and simply said: “This is the food our guests like.” This response was extremely disrespectful. Are we not guests as well? We paid the same and booked All Inclusive, yet received food quality that does not even meet a 3-star standard. Drinks & All Inclusive Concept: The “All Inclusive” package was very misleading. It only included a few soft drinks (mainly Pepsi products). No fresh juices at all — only very cheap artificial juices. Cocktails were extremely limited (only mojito and piña colada), overly sweet, artificial, and low quality. Coffee options were very limited, and the taste was honestly terrible. Ice cream was only chocolate and strawberry, very poor quality, overly sweet, and not suitable even for children. Water Policy: As a pregnant guest, I need to drink a lot of water. However, the hotel does not provide sealed bottled water. Instead, they use refillable glass bottles with tap-water taste. Every time we needed water, we had to call and wait. Worse, the bottle cannot be taken with you and is reused, which is completely unacceptable for a so-called 5-star hotel. Swimming Pools: There are three swimming pools, but one is marked as “private” and we were not allowed to use it — despite paying All Inclusive. The pools are very small, crowded, and unsafe, with children and adults mixed together. The depth was extremely uncomfortable, even for someone of average height. There were no snacks, no food, and very limited drinks available around the pools. Cleanliness & Facilities: The corridors smelled extremely bad. The carpet odor was strong, unpleasant, and felt unhygienic. Additionally, the elevator was very noisy at night, making loud banging sounds as if there was a technical problem. This disturbed our sleep and added to an already stressful experience. Overall Experience: The only positive point was the room view, which was nice. Other than that, this hotel does not deserve a 5-star rating. Food quality was zero, service was poor, facilities were disappointing, and the All Inclusive concept was misleading. Honestly, I would not even rate this hotel as 3 stars. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I would never return or recommend it.
