My husband and I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The moment we parked the car at the hotel, all our luggage were collected by the staff. We were celebrating our anniversary and was upgraded to a sea view room. All the staff from the bellboy to the pool staff was amazing. I wish I could individually name all of them. The waka restaurant was an exceptional dining experience. The cocktails were amazing but the food could be better, but the attention from the service staff made up for that. The room had been decorated for us and a personalized message from Sheilyn, GRA was an additional touch. Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough.

It was an enjoyable stay. The staff were excellent. Room service was prompt. The room was a good size though having two sinks in the bathroom would have been better. The hair dryer was efficient, however the length of the wire was far too short such that I could not stand up holding the hairdryer and it could not reach to see in the mirror.

There was no water pressure in the shower, there was no food available on the 31st night and this was not clarified during the reservation since i reserved directly with the hotel. The only vegetarian choice was pasta and $70 for a basic pasta was to “fleece the guest experience”. It was such a bad experience, it felt like the hotel was just behind making money and nothing else. In room dining was not available. We had booked 3 rooms, my room didn’t have the large carpet that the other rooms had. There were babycots just kept in the lobby of the villa on the upper floor where my room was. It felt like a storage place!

We stayed here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and while the property itself is pleasant, there were several service lapses that affected our experience. On our anniversary night, a bottle opener was not available in the room. We requested it multiple times through both room service and reception and were assured it would be sent, but it never arrived. As a result, our evening went by without even basic soft drinks, which was disappointing. The in-room coffee machine was also not functioning. We reported this and requested assistance, but no one came to help. These may seem like small things individually, but on a special occasion they do matter. On New Year’s Eve, inroom dining was restricted to a very limited menu. Even from this reduced menu, some items shown such as a mocktail were said to be unavailable when we tried to order. If items are not available, they should not appear on the menu, as this creates unnecessary frustration. Additionally, the weighing scale provided in the bathroom had no battery, making it unusable. On a positive note, the hotel did acknowledge our anniversary by sending a small cake and a box of chocolates, which was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated. Overall, while the location and property are good, attention to basic room amenities and follow-through on service requests need improvement, especially when guests are celebrating important occasions.

Gala dinner was well organised, staff were attentive and polite. However, Premium drinks like single malt, Cognac and baileys were not served.
