We first got a room where the curtains were exhibiting multiple holes across the surface. This did not give a warm feeling for a "privilège room". The it appears that the room could not be locked when leaving the room. We requested assistance from the hotel reception and they could not fix the problem and offered us to move another similar room one floor down. We were already settled in the initial room, so this was not really an enjoyable moment. The morning after we had to realise that the room was not equipped in terms of towels for two people but for one person only. Also the toilet was not flushing properly as it was taking 3 To 4 flushing cycles to get the result you normally expect from one cycle. Finally the breakfast buffet was not really exciting, maybe because we coming down only at 09:30, almost by the end of the service. In conclusion a quite disappointing experience this time at that hotel. The people at the reception did the best they could to try to amortise the impact of all this, but overall, this was clearly unacceptable to us.

Hello, Sir R., We thank you to share your opinion to your stay in our hôtel. We are truly sorry that your experience at the hotel was not what you have expected. First, we must change the room because you can go enter in the room without put your key, and the curtains have some holes we are truly sorry for that, we must change your room on a other floor because we have no availbility on the fourth floor. Second, we are truly sorry for the towels, for the next time, don't hesitate to contact the reception to have your towels and for the toilets you can call the reception too, for call the technician to resolve the problem. And finally, we are sorry for the breakfast, the hour of the brekfast is 6:30 a.m to 10:00 a.m in week and 6:30 to 11h00 a.m in week end. Be sure that we will take the required measures to make sure this unpleasant situation will never happen again We hope we will have the opportunity to prove, during your next stay, that thz quality of Mercure Hotels will be beyond your expectations. Main issue was poor wi fi which was too weak to even read e mail without dropping constantly. Dinner - very limited choice due to Covid restrictions - tajine was inedible.

Friendly welcome, bright and clean hotel reception area. Room was a little tired, but perfectly clean. Windows need replaced - Old and unable to see out of. Comfortable bed, welcoming hot 'rain style' shower. Tea/coffee courtesy tray a welcome extra.

Very good receptionist assisted by an excellent stagiaire. The best Mercure we have stayed in since the end of the lock down. Ideally placed if visiting Macdon or splitting a long trip from north to south or vice versa.

Well located, let down by tired smelly room

Covid restricted stay. On arrival waited for Approx 10 mins to be greeted at the reception After chasing down a member of staff. Booked a privilege room. Once we open the door strong smell of damp later located from the toilet And shower room where extractor fans we not working. Room generally looked tired and carpet had areas of stains. Location was perfect but overall not a nice stay and was happy to leave.

We got there late (11pm) after a long drive. We have two kids including a tiny baby. We had to wait several minutes for someone to show up to reception. We were given a smokers room that smelled like a freakin ashtray. Although the hotel was clearly not full, the receptionist denied my request for another room because his computer wasn’t working. Everything was downhill from there.

Arrived later than planned, but still very welcomed, evening meal available, was a restricted menu but very good, along with the beer and rosé! Our dog was very welcomed at a small charge of €9 Clean room with comfortable bed

No rest with such bed

I came to stay 1 night for a bit of rest along our way. The bed was such hard I hardly slept half of the night. I am a traveler for professional purpose and those kind of long life beds are not fit for a 3 or 4 stars hotel. After our good experiences last year, we decided to book this hotel again this year. Upon arrival at the end of the afternoon the receptionist was the the only staff member in the entire hotel. The hotel was fully booked and he was responsable for the reception, bar and terrace. He tried to make the best of it. Outside the building needs urgent refurbishment. The garden as well as the boxes for plants and flowers at the terrace have not seen a gardener in months. Several lampposts on the parking were not working or damged. (we already noticed that during our visit two weeks earlier!) In short: BAD MANAGEMENT, ACCOR unworthy!!! The general Manger, mrs. Parole had of course the weekend off, and we could not reach her, or any assistant, to take our complaints.

Check-in was OK. The room was very good according to our expectations of last year. However the service in the restaurant was very slow. We had to wait more than an hour for only a main course. Apparently no supervision!

Very convenient hotel for a stopover from a long motorway journey. I have stayed here now about ten times. The people are friendly, the rooms comfortable and the pool and outside bar area are wonderful for relaxing. The restaurant is good for breakfast, although not very exciting in the evening

Very beautiful location near the Saone river, Macon's city center just a 15-minute walk, also a park right next to the hotel. Staff very welcoming and helpful, the bed is incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately, the state of the room was not up to the "privilege" title. Some items were damaged and/or not maintained very well. The sofabed is probably much better as a bed but we did not need it. And the AC was heating too much despite the low temperature setting (we had to switch it off and open the window on arrival). It was vell worth the sale price, but I'm not sure I would book the same room for the full price.

Rather old hotel but still acceptable. Breakfast was, as usually in the french Mercure Hotels, too average. The choice of the restaurant card was very limited. This may not be a problem if on the other hand the quality is on top. But unfortunatly, and the dinner was disappointing (dry chicken, almost no sauce, sweet potatoes fries being flabby, no crunch at all and totally oily).

The hotel is in a lovely location by the river, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very professional and helpful. For the first time during our 3 week trip around France we had dinner in the hotel....excellent.

The hotel is superbly sited, the rooms comfortable and a good size. However the service was poor, a 30 minute wait for a menu, an hour and a half wait for our (assembled platter) meal was appalling. It took several attempts to get an accurate bill, we were charged for a non existent dog, breakfasts we hadn’t eaten and taxe de séjour for four people rather than three. Very disappointing and not at all the standard I expect of accor hotels. I would stay there again, for the situation but would not eat there and would check my bill very carefully.
