Bed was very uncomfortable compared to other stays within this group.

Well located, friendly staff, lots of stains on bedroom carpet and constant noise from A/C unit despite being switched off. ( Room301)

We have stayed here a few times now for just the one night when driving to the south of france. First time was during covid so thought that was likely why it was poorly kept but second time we accidentally booked a standard room so figured that was why the room was very tatty but this time we booked the correct privilege room and it was just as bad. The smell from the toilet was overwhelming, the carpet really stained and grubby, the aircon was not working properly, there was no breakfast teas, milk or biscuits on the refreshment tray, one side of the bed was missing a side table so generally not the standard from other Mercure privilege rooms we have stayed in and clearly not a one off. Outside the rooms is nice and the staff friendly. The restaurant was closed also due to refurbishment which we only learned off the day we were due to arrive. Unfortunately we will likely be looking elsewhere for our next holiday stop over which is a shame as it is the perfect location.
