This was our second stay at the Mercure Wittenbergplatz. The staff are always very friendly from reception, to housekeeping, to bar stewards. Our room was on the 5th floor and at the back so a nice quiet location. We were so happy to have air conditioning as it reached 38⁰C whilst we were there. My one and only snag was my bedding had a noticeable stain on it. Definitely just a stain and the sheet had been cleaned so it wasn't complaint worth but not something you expect from Mercure. Overall though and excellent stay again and we would happily stay again.

Not my first time at this hotel, the location is excellent, right by Wittenberg station and on one side the shopping street Kodam and on the other the wonderful Schöneberg neighborhood. The room is comfortable, and the service is good. If you want it to be really perfect, you can improve the efficiency a little (at check-in the room was not ready but I was arbitrarily told to come again at a certain time and try to check if the room is ready but they did not check with the room maintenance team to make sure exactly when the room is expected to be ready). There was also an issue with a request for a coffee machine in the room (at first they said they would send it and after 3 times I contacted them they said it was not possible, but they also did not bother to inform me and especially since I also contacted them by email in advance), the pillows in the room were simple and uncomfortable, some already looked worn. They entered the room twice (once to clean and the second to put water), only when I put up a do not disturb sign - it was avoided.

Great location and hotel. Only thing to be aware city view does come with city noise if you open the window - but it cool. Room very clean and breakfast was excellent. Staff super helpful
