I took a room for a midday stop, so I can connect to a couple of conf calls, take a shower after a run, and maybe have a short nap if I have the time. I felt like an absolute waste of money, in the end. The location of the hotel is really good, just a few steps away from the center, not far from the waterfront. The hotel is relatively old, which would not be an issue on its own, but you can see how even the renovated elements were starting to degrade, as if they were not done correctly, or as if they were overused. Having visible plastic pipes around the sink, the toilet and the shower points towards the former, the doors and the furniture made me feel like the latter, so I do not know which is true. The signs and the posters looked old as well. One curtain was missing, the others had torn hooks. The showerhead and the showerhose were leaking everywhere. This is really not the level you would expect from and Ibis hotel, and definitely not from an Ibis Styles. The room seemed otherwise clean, but its condition ruined it for me. In addition, renovation works across the street meant that I could barely hear the conf call I was attending, and they struggled to hear me. I know this is not the hotel's fault, but it made my day even worse.

Set in a cool Auguste Perret building with mid-century decor in keeping with the style. We just stayed one night but all good. The only downside was the shower, the shower head was too heavy for the bracket on the wall so had to hold it with one hand. Bit awkward for washing your hair.

I stayed 3 nights which was because I needed to be near Le Havre Cathedral where our orchestra was performing and where our coach delivered us and picked us up. The gentleman on reception was very helpful and spoke good English. However reception shut at round floor.pm from when the front door was locked. There is no proper bar and no accessible toilet on the glThe breakfast was good including fruit, meat, eggs, bread and croissants etc. We had to leave very early on the third day and we were provided with some food and water in a bag. Unfortunately it was very hot during our stay and the lack of air-conditioning and fridges was a problem. The lift is quite small presenting me with a challenge to get my double bass to my room. As I was a single person in a double room it was expensive bearing in mind the lack of facilities.
