Philip D Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

I chose to stay here because it wasn’t too costly and was convenient for walking to/from both the Brittany Ferries terminal and the main train station. It meets both those criteria but otherwise has little to recommend it. Very tired, lots of noise from the street outside, fixtures and fittings in poor shape. More positively, room (and bathroom) weren’t too cramped and the one staff member I met was very pleasant. OK for an economical one night stopover in transit but otherwise I reckon there must be better nearby alternatives and wonder whether/now the Accor chain sets and monitors standards for its properties. Ibis Styles seem, in my experience to be of very variable quality.

Stayed 3 days with family Rooms are spacious but cleaning was poor We asked for a changeover and they used the same old bedding which was blood stained due to mosquito bites. They left kids beds undone. Bathtub and sink not cleaned properly and blocked. Stained carpets and dumped ceilings. The only positive was the breakfast. Reception pictures on website are very deceiving.

Friendly receptionist, but no knowledge, for example difference between white wine and sparkling wine/champagne. Style of the hotel was the 50ties, but in this case it meant out dated … ventilator available (no airco), bathroom and toilet had a strange rubber flooring inclusive spots of extended non cleaning. Seperate toilet had a bad odeur. Baby bed available, no sheets or towels provided for the baby. Overall not maintained hotel on cleanliness and room furniture. We also ate at the hotel not great but ok. Breakfast was good, enough choice and fresh.
