Upon arrival the staff barely spoke English. The two receptionists were very obviously gossiping about my partner and I (I do understand Spanish, thanks). We got to the room, which was damp, dank, smelly and dirty. The supposed queen sized bed is so small, and we are both 6ft+. We asked for a different room, more gossiping and switching wasn't possible until the next day. Next day: yes we can switch, to a twin room, meaning two "queen" beds, meaning we also had to pay extra for the "upgrade". Then to find out that we initially booked with breakfast, but with the upgrade we would lose our breakfast unless we paid even more, which would have brought the total up to that of a five-star hotel in the area. There was one receptionist part of the day staff that was actually nice, and the breakfast team was super friendly. As for the rest I have no good words. The rooms are not equipped with tea nor coffee, the smell of the sewage everywhere is foul. I usually Stay in a Holiday Inn Express, which is a two star and much better than this supposed 3-star Hotel. I thought to try out the Accor version of a budget hotel and was deeply disappointed. Never again. I can highly recommend everyone to look for alternative non-chain hotels in the area at the same price and higher comfort levels and luxury. Strongly suggest the use of mystery guests or get the management stay in the hotel for a night or two so they can experience all the things they need to improve.

Right next door to the Juarez metro station this was perfectly placed to explore the city. The bed was very comfy and the room quiet. We also had enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The staff were very welcoming

The hotel is clean and well managed, but the staff at the reception has no English whatsoever to help the guests which is an issue and also quite surprising taking into account the location of the hotel. I was placed in the incorrect room and the luggage was placed there, only 5 hours later it turned out that all those hours my things were in the wrong room; the receptionist was not the one checking me in and it required a lot of gestures and almost shouting to make him move and actually check if my things in the wrong room were still there. The receptionist that checked me in was not seen any more during my 4 nights stay. It raises the question of who was that and also makes it a great issue that NONE of the staff speaks ANY English.

Location is very good, rooms are ok, breakfast also very good. Staff's attitude seems to be impersonal at best, hostile at worst.

We have used Ibis hotels before in Europe, and this experience in Mexico City was not what we were expecting. The location of the hotel was excellent, close to many food options, the Metro was next door, and walking distance to numerous cultural sites. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was good, but later restaurant options and bar options within the hotel were limited. Rooms were small with little space for luggage and belongings.
