Booked through American Express travel. Breakfast was included, which was delicious. Shopping, restaurants, parks, museums and excursions were walkable or a reasonably priced uber away. We used the hotel’s Car service a lot. concierge made suggestions and booked things we really enjoyed

The hotel is not being maintained well. The shower took 5 mins to get hot and then while showering went from boiling hot to freezing. The handle was clogged so the jets didn’t come out as they should. The elevators were a complete nightmare. Only 2 of the 4 worked. It took forever to get one. The key doesn’t work well so by the time you actually get the light you passed your room. People were frustrated all the time. The restaurant staff was not very friendly. My friends had free breakfast with their stay but decided to eat elsewhere because of the service we got. They were understaffed.

Service was really bad. Asked to take my stuff up to my room and I was told no, that you can't take things to my room. Out of 4 elevators only one worked. One elevator for 8 or 8 floors? You were not even attempting to fix it. I stayed for 11 days. No fix. Radio in room didnt work. Coffee machine didnt either. Terrible for a Mondrian level.

The rooms were comfortable but the service uneven. Requests for ice did not happen without 2 phone calls. Our mini bar fridge was not cold. We were not provided 4 PM late check out, which is one of the reasons we booked the hotel. Understand this is not always possible, but was basically told no from the start. Breakfast while delicious, had problems with getting simple things like milk for the coffee and salsa for the eggs. And overall the front of house seemed to suffer communication breakdowns. We hear no a lot.

Overall had a great stay. The staff was excellent - especially David the porter and Jesus and Angel at La Terreza. The hot water in the shower was a little finicky but very comfortable bed. TV was a good size and had Chromecast. There's a convenience store right across the street so was easy to get snacks and drinks.
