We had a good stay at the Mondrian Condesa. The location was perfect, the hotel was in great order. The concierge, Gustavo, was incredibly helpful. Our room was a bit small, but in the end it didn’t matter. The staff reacted quickly and professionally to the Earthquake (though some signage or instructions for the city wide alarm would have been useful for those unfamiliar with the protocols).

The hotel and staff were excellent, providing information about the city. It was my first time in Mexico City, which is such an awesome city, alive with so much energy- Mexicans are proud of their culture and it showed by the work ethic that seemed to be going on all around. The only downside to the hotel stay was the New Year's Eve party that she reserved online before the trip. We understood that the reservation was for $100 dollars that included open bar with heavy horderves. When we were seated, the waiter brought us an a la carte menu and had no idea about the package we referred him to. It was also a pretty low-key setting for a New Year.

The room was clean and the housekeeping was excellent (except for the day they forgot to clean and we had to ask twice at reception to get the room cleaned!) La Terraza was OK but on two occasions they had run out of the food that we wanted. The service was friendly but inconsistent. I think that, compared to other venues in the area, the drinks are overpriced.
