Service has gone downhill at Cleo. Very slow, and constant issues with timing. Spa malso was late for my appointment and caused me to have to cancel, after traveling across the city, no apologies or remedy just “whoops”. I own and build hotels, guest experience service needs help….

Definitely a mixed bag. Specifically booked a more expensive room so I would have tub & separate shower as well as a terrace with "panoramic city view". These rooms are on the 8th floor as per website. I booked the panoramic view as I did not want a courtyard view due to comments regarding noise from the courtyard being an issue. Upon arrival I was shown a room on the 8th floor that had a great view but only had a shower. I declined the room as it was not what I booked. I was told that the room i booked was not currently available so I could keep the room I had, or they could give me a room on the 3rd floor that did have the tub and shower, but the terrace faced the courtyard and had no view. Neither option was what I booked, and I was already disappointed with the experience. Finally worked out a "deal" with front desk where I would take the room on 3 but they would move me into the room i booked when one as available in 2 days. Days later having heard nothing I went back to front desk. ( i could not call as phone in room was broken) and had a guy with a tone ask me what was wrong with what I had? I explained the situation and he said he could move me into the correct room currently. Went up to the new room and I was pretty much the exact room they tried to put me into in the 1st place without a tub and shower. I was rather furious at that point and if it was not for the efforts by the team at the "Experience" desk would have lost it. I ended up finally getting a room this tub and shower the next day on the 8th floor. It did partially face the courtyard, but it was the best they could do. There is definitely an issue with noise from the courtyard. I could deal with it during the day and evening but for some reason they start playing music in the courtyard and lobby every day at 6:00 a.m. I was awoken by this every morning even with playing my sound machine at full blast. Not sure for who's benefit they are playing this music for but not for guests for sure. Also, an issue with the door to the room from the terrace having a broken lock that was never fixed. Bright spots were the location, the staff being generally very good especially the "Experience desk", room service was quick and efficient, and the food was decent. Gym that is shared with the Andaz is pretty good. Design of hotel is good. Food at Cleo was not that great. Coffee was terrible, though the coffee at the "flower Shop" was very good. Don't get the pancakes at Cleo. Horrible. All in all, not sure I would re-book this hotel. Would only recommend based on location and friendliness of staff.

Really great hotel with all you might want nearby in a beuatiful area of CDMX. Would reccomend. Really lovely staff and nice rooms. Skybar is also very nice.
