We've been the Speyer for years; it's always been reliable and convenient. So why not a higher score? The decor and fabric of the building is beginning to show it's age, perhaps.

Although well placed for an overnight stop on a long journey the hotel has parking for only about half the rooms and there is limited secure parking nearby. Rooms are clearly NOT checked for issues - missing parts to shower tray, insects squashed on walls and carpets. Staff attitude poor - laughed at the problems no parking available caused us and DON’T lean on counter when talking to them or they will say you are being aggressive towards them.
