Not a good stay. It is next to the train station which is very convenient but that makes it super noisy. I had a room which will face on the train racks so I would hear during the night the trains passing by. I was difficult to fall asleep. Also i could hear the residents from the other rooms leaving opening and closing their room's door. The breakfast was slightly boring

To expensive. Room smelled of sweat and the drain in the shower was nearly clogged. We did not report this since we stayed just one night and was in need of a hotel on our way back from holiday.

pro: the location is good and the reception is helpful. the price is reasonable. con: the facility is a bit outdated, the bathroom is tiny and you could hardly turn around. we stayed for 2 nights but no one cleaned the room or changed our towels.

Dear Sir / Madam, Hope this message finds you well. I am a long loyal customer of Accor Hotels in last few years (with a break during pandemic). On my last visit to Heidelberg Ibis Hotel, I have reserved a Family room choosing from the app two children that are 2 years and 6 months old. Then, on top, I have put an additional note to state that I will be coming with 2 babies and kindly asking for 2 baby cribs on the room. When I arrived to the hotel, I was told that I have two separate rooms and there is no baby crib available in the hotel. When I asked the reception they told me they do not read the messages from the app and therefore they do not know that I was coming with two babies and they did not see my additional note. Then, after a long discussion with the colleagues, I was given a crib that I carried myself to the room because I was told that there is nobody in the hotel that can support me. At the end, I had to carry the crib to the room by myself and we had to share one bed with one baby and the other stayed in the crib. So, even if I filled the app while reserving the room and also putting a note, I had to spend a night wihout a proper sleep. My question is, why do I use the app to indicate the ages of children and even put a note if these information are not being considered? Why would I be loyal to Accord if my requests are not read and replied if they are not able to be done? If I had received a call or message that the request is not possible to be satisfied I could have reserved another hotel instead of ending up in the hotel finding out there the situation. Overall, after many years, I have questioned my loyalty to Accor since even if I am ready to pay more I am not receiving the very basic level of service I should have to organize our trips. I enjoyed my overall experience with the hotel, however I would like to feedback on one aspect of the service hot drinks like coffee or tea requested by guests in the evening. I would suggest that it be offered as complimentary... Especially for guests who pay for breakfast packages and also when its during cold seasons. Thank you

The Ibis is my usual go-to when I travel for business. The rooms are clean and comfortable, there’s a good choice of breakfast, but best of all I found the whole hotel team very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

The hotel sits right next to the Heidelberg main train station and is hence very convenient for either business or for private travel. The room was slightly better than the standard Ibis room and was also well sound-proofed. The Internet was excellent and the staff very helpful and professional. Good stay.

The hotel is in the Heidelberg main train station and is, therefore, very convenient for any sort of trip to the city. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was of a slightly better standard for Ibis and the Internet service was easy to use and more than adequate.

Great hotel well located next to the railway station. Nive welcome and departue, rooms warm but windows open. I expected the hotel to be quite noisy but only one nice did we get wakened by an ambulance siren and thats hardly the fault of the hotel.

The rooms were very small and one of them had a bad smell. One of the two rooms we booked were not even cleaned. Had to tell the hotel reception and request for a change of room. This is not acceptable especially in this Covid period.

I had taken the time in the Accor app BEFORE arrival to fullfill all my personal data like address etc and after check in by the app, I got an sms that my room key will be ready by arrival. Still my room key was NOT ready by arrival AND in the reception they want me to fullfill my adress, passport number etc in an formular, which I clearly refused because it was already done. I also have to sign that I will not smoke in the room? I am an non-smoker and if I ever have to sign for non-smoking again, I for sure will find another accomodation. Ibis/Accor should go after the smokers and leave non-smokers in peace or it should be possible to inform about smoking in the personal profile in the app! To make my fast check in possible, I had to garantee the amount of €200,- by creditcard. That amount was released from my account today, three days AFTER check out AND also AFTER, my account was further drawn for the real stay price. Thats is really not okay! My creditcard should absolutely from the time of check out not any longer be charged by reserved amount, so I got the possibility to make other reservations and buyings. Conklusion: Improvement possible and necessarily.

We arrived late on the Friday night due to traffic delays, staff members on reception were very helpful with printing out UK Passenger Locator forms and Covid PCR Test results before we hit the UK authorities in Calais the next day. Very much appreciated. Ibis Heidelberg hauptbahnhof is fast becoming our regular halfway stop to our house in Croatia ... thanks again

Location is good in case You are travelling either with train or by car and don't need to visit by foot the city centre, which is 2,5 kilometres away. The rooms are ok and service was smooth. We did not have any breakfast.

Stayed In Ibis Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof for 3 nights of business trip to nearby town and it was definitely the right choice. Being located adjacent to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof, Ibis gives easy access in reaching nearby areas. While it is not really in Heidelberg's historical city center, it's only a short 10 minutes tram ride from the center and its attractions. The Hauptbahnhof itself offers some options for eating so it's safe to say that finding some food will not be an issue. Check-in process was efficient in a nicely designed lobby. Although the lobby is a bit small, it was not a big issue as the nature of the hotel means people come and go at rather random time, depending of the train schedule. The room is as what you would expect from standard Ibis, a bit small, but clean and functional. It did seem that the rooms, as well as the overall hotel, has recently been renovated as it featured the latest Ibis design and bedding, which I personally liked. Breakfast is good albeit pretty standard, cold cuts, bacon, egg, etc. The breakfast room, serving also as a bar during the evening, is well designed and is my favorite part of the hotel. Overall I had great stay in Ibis Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof and would definitely be my first choice when I come back in the area.

Very convenient for a short stay, next to the train station and public transport. Staff was great, and facilities adequate. However, the heater in the room was very noisy making sleep difficult. If the window is open for some fresh air, the street traffic noise is too much - rooms at the back would probably be better.
