Ibis Heidelberg great location for rail travel

The location was great for my rail travel. Walking to local restaurants and stores was slightly less"easy" (way easier than typical USA), but that's more a function of the city. Room was a smaller Ibis layout, which has quirks and tight points, but that comes with staying at a lower cost venue.

Terrible traffic noise even with windows closed.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a multi City German trip and found sleeping very difficult because of the traffic noise. The double glazing was not effective enough.

Everything was very good at this hotel. The location was excellent for traveling by train as we were. It is close to the train station but also close to the bus into Heidelberg. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The breakfast had a good variety. We only stayed one night and it was perfectly sufficient for our needs.

The reception in the evening was very very friendly and even made me smile. And also the possibility to have hot water to drink in the waiting area, which on top has great furniture is highly appreciated. The rooms was clean, very functional, and the service great. Congratulations!
