Our daughter lives on the other side of the Neckar River from central Mannheim, where there are no nearby hotels. The Mercure Hotel Mannheim am Rathaus is close to the center and shopping but was just a 25 minute walk to our daughter's apartment. So there were lots of restaurants within a short walk as well as shopping. The bed was comfortable, and our room quiet. A/C and heat worked well. Breakfast was a buffet with standard German fair like scrambled eggs and sausages, cold meats and sliced cheeses, fruit (both cut fresh melons and whole fruits like apples, bananas and oranges), yogurt and muesli and brötchen (bread rolls) and toast bread. Would have liked some salad items like lettuce,, since it was more of a brunch for us than purely a breakfast.

This is our 2nd time staying at Mercure Hotel Mannheim am Rathaus. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was in spotless condition. Overall, it was a very nice stay and would definitely come back again!!

The Hotel is walking distance to the Center of the city. The disadvantages is that they don’t have gym, also parking is an extra cost and not including in the price . Otherwise is perfect.
