So we went to gerringong just for short location, suddenly during renovation period, we didn't enjoy it much due to dust and noise. Really sad, but they did notify us in advance, but still we expect something payback for the unsastify experience. For room interior, everything is nice and clean, but bathroom has no toothbrush, no slide to walk around, we expect high quality service because this is a high standard luxury hotel. Didn't seem like a resort but like a motel instead. Their reception office even reminding us like a front office in school, overall place is good for sleep but not really sastify the experience.

We stayed for two nights to play golf in the area. While obviously under major renovations across the hotel, our room was clean and comfortable. Alternative arrangements for breakfast with the closed dining room were perfect for our needs, and we had uninterrupted sleep.

I’ve passed the Mecure in Gerringong many times. It proved a very comfortable stay, on Father’s Day having recently had the rooms renovated. We were very grateful to have a two king bed suite. Amenities for the room are on point. Location has great amenities including a pool and tennis courts. Our room faced towards these and the main road, but due to the lush landscaping we didn’t hear any road noise. We prepaid for breakfast buffet and enjoyed a wide variety of breakfast foods and beverages. Having stayed in a Mecure venue interstate, this was a pleasant surprise how good the venue is for Mecure brand. We were grateful to the pleasant and proficient staff we interacted with, and would highly recommend the Mecure Gerringong.

It was a great weekend away. Helpful staff and despite there being renovations happening at the time, we were well informed and the noise never affected us. We appreciated the gardens and close proximity to the town and walking distance to beach.

The 2 rooms twin share accommodation for a group of 4 was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast selection was satisfying to all the group and especially the espresso coffee served by a very cheerful hostess (sorry, I have forgotten her name)

Based on their good reviews we stayed there on Saturday and Sunday night. We booked their Bella Char restaurant on Sunday night on line and received confirmation of our 7:30 pm booking. On arrival, we waited half an hour for someone to come to reception. When we did get in, we noticed a sign saying the restaurant was only open Monday through Sat despite our confirmation. We asked if we could dine that night instead but were told the restaurant was closed Saturday night as it was booked for a private(wedding) function. We were not informed of this when booking . Had we been, we would have booked elsewhere. The next morning, we had breakfast in the restaurant. Ordered coffee at the bar and were told it would be delivered to our table. 45 minutes later, we had finished breakfast and still no coffee. We had been forgotten. The next morning, we turned up for breakfast. The restaurant had been stripped of tables and chairs. “Weren’t you told the restaurant has been closed for refurbishment and you needed to order room service before 8pm last night “. No, we had not been told. They took our order anyway but when delivered, instead of getting raisin toast and white bread toast with butter and honey, it arrived minus the butter and honey. Not very palatable!!! To add to our discomfort, the TV froze every 30 seconds or so for a few seconds which meant watching live sport almost impossible and annoyingly through movies, news as well! Finally, while our room was spacious and the bed comfortable, there was a layer of dust over the phone, bedside table and lamps. This was without a doubt, the worst stay in an Accor hotel. We feel we wasted our money and should have stayed at the nearby Sebel in Kiama instead. We were incredibly disappointed!

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times this year but it was a little disappointing this time. The shower had a funny smell, the carpet had a ridge which ran down the middle of the room which became a trip hazard and something was obviously loose near us which made a banging noise with the wind during the night ( and I mean ALL night! Imagine someone hammering at random intervals every 5 minutes). Welcome drinks are included in our package but at no time have we ever been offered any or even told how we can claim a welcome drink.

Our stay at the Mercure Gerringong Resort was a wonderful escape from everyday life. From the moment we arrived, the calm and quiet atmosphere made us feel completely at ease. It is the perfect spot on the South Coast to unwind. The Room: Spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, complete with a kitchenette and a lovely view of the surrounding greenery. The Service: The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The Location: Ideally positioned for a peaceful getaway. It’s just a short drive or a lovely walk down to Werri Beach and the main town centre. We left feeling rested and refreshed after a genuinely therapeutic weekend.
