There for a 4 night mini break, this hotel provided an excellent base. The only things making it a 9/10 instead of 10/10 is the lack of air con in the room. The room was a little on the small side but in the city centre that is to be expected. Whilst we appreciated being able to open the window to let in some fresh air, at night that got a bit noisey with revellers beneath the window! Again, to be expected in the City centre but if there was AC the window could be kept closed. Generally though, we'd go back.

The location, the outside of the hotel and the staff were all very nice. The hotel room was terrible, it was tired the bathroom was ruff the toliet didn't flush well and the tiles were broken and the wood work was rotten and the laminate was peeling. The bed was massive but the room was small making it very difficult for two people to move around in. We are slim people so anyone larger would have stuggled alot. Their was no room for our case and when we checked in they asked us to call 0 for reception but their was no phone. If we had been staying for more than one night or did not have plans to leave our room in the eveing I would have had to make a complaint. It did the job we needed but for the price it was a very expensive hostel.

Tired, unloved City Centre hotel

Credit to the employees, who were happy, smiley and attentive. My second stay at this hotel, both times the rooms have been disappointing. We booked room 114 (a suite) and whilst spacious enough, was tired and unloved with (what appeared to be) cigarette burns in the discolored and Ill-fitting carpet, chips and crack in most of the finishes and a dated appearance. Breakfast service was cramped, credit for keeping this well stocked on a busy Sunday service. In need of some much needed TLC for sure.
