The apartments are really nice

Travellersforever TripAdvisor review

Apartment 203. 1 bedroom. Bedroom faces the road, so it goes get road noise, but not too busy. Ground floor so you do have the sounds of people above you, particularly kids running & jumping around! The garage - only for a small car. It’s got this weird angle to it that makes it plan difficult. I certainly wouldn’t buy the unit that’s for sure. The air conditioning works well too. The only downside to the place is the management. I’d read reviews that the reception was hard to find - correct!!! After sending emails SPECIFICALLY asking where the reception is located I received only silence. For anyone wanting to know the reception is located in The Vintage Sales Centre. Parking is behind the sales centre, even that they don’t make easy with the stairs blocked off so you have to make your way around to the front - in fine weather not a problem, but in the pouring rain, a total pain!!! Worse of all, they didn’t give a s..t, & eye contact was non existent! So enjoy the apartments once you get there.

Finally managed to get to the Hunter Valley, our room was upstairs but easy to get to, was very clean and tidy, bed was excellent and the amenities good. The Vintage was a short walk to the Golf club for breakfast or diner, and not far from all wineries, a great place to stay

Lipsticks on Wine Glasses

MrsJChia Couples - TripAdvisor review

Im a Gold Accor member, a couple of the benefits I am entitles to are: ability to check in early, free room upgrade and complimentary drinks. I was not able to get any of those. We came to the room, the wine glasses were not clean. They had lipstick on them. We were put on an accessible room, which meant that we had a disabled bathroom. It felt unsafe, because there was only a curtain to avoid the water from going all over the bathroom. I don’t see why they put us who are “able people to a disabled room”. After all of this... we checked out at 9 am. We left the facility and we kept getting a call from them. They said that they were going to charge us x amount of money because we did not give the garage key back. I argued that they can’t do that because we gave them the garage key. After 10 minutes.. they found the garage key.

A great stay!

This property is right next door to a golf course. It was not at all noisy and the views were very relaxing. A large verandah provided great relaxation opportunities. The unit was spacious and beautifully furnished. We would definitely stay here again

Poor value for money

The place was nice... but the service around it was terrible.I would expect that from a backpackers, not a place you pay $300+ a night!2 phone calls to confirm my arrival time the two days before. Arrived there, tired after a long drive... to realise the reception has been moved "up the hill" and you need to drive back a few hundred meters. Why not mentioning it anywhere?Tennis court is advertised as free... but you need to check with "Chateau Elan" for availability AND PRICE!WiFi didn't work/kept dropping. In a place with poor reception, except from Telstra, it's a shame.Bed sheets were stained.Apartment is not serviced unless you stay for 8 days.Extra toiletries, towels... are to be paid extra! Not my definition of a serviced apartment. And best, we stayed 3 nights. On the second day, I stopped at the reception to get the bed sheet/WiFi sorted. Reception closes at 6pm. It was 5.30 and they were already gone for the day.The room is nice but all the service around is terrible.I do not recommend for the price.

Great base for your Hunter Valley adventure.

Our two bedroom apartment was very impressive. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities within the apartment including specialised wine fridges and a beautiful gas fire. The location suited us but like most of the accomodation in the Hunter Valley nothing is within walking distance.

The room was nice, but not cleaned thoroughly. We ran into spider webs and killed at least a dozen of spiders when we arrived. There were also dead bugs underneath the basin in the bathroom. Damaged equipments including the vacuum cleaner and saucepan with damaged handle, and the doors to the balcony cannot be locked properly.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. As you can see from the other reviews we have an excellent reputation here at the hotel and it is disappointing that your expectations were not met in this instance. I would appreciate discussing this matter further with you so we can properly address the issues you encountered. If you could please contact me directly at it would be much appreciated. Fabulous apartment for couples or a family. Two bedrooms also had 2 full bathrooms with the option of 2 king beds or 1 king and 2 singles. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge room. Loved the gas fireplace and mini kitchen. Would be good to have a toaster included in the kitchen. The unit had a lockup garage and two balconies with table and chairs, as well as lounge chairs.

We had never been to the Hunter before so were relying on other Trip Advisor reviews and our Accor membership to guide us. The Grand Mercure was excellent. Very spacious one bedroom apartment with a courtyard that looked over the field where kangaroos gathered each afternoon. It was very clean and well appointed. Centrally located and on the pickup line for all the wine tasting tours. I would go back tomorrow!

My second time there. Would return again. Spacious, clean, fantastic location. The 2 bedroom apartment has 2 bathrooms so ideal for 2 couples. Has fold-out double bed in lounge room as well. Has its own laundry.

We travelled with my 87yo mother to meet up with my brother who lives and works in the Hunter. This followed visits to Melbourne and Cairns to visit sisters in previous years. The Vintage was a good place to stay. They provided a first floor appt with disabled bathroom as my mum has a mobility problem. We were able to visit wineries, restaurants and shops to see what the reign has to offer. We were made welcome everywhere.

Great location if visiting the Hunter Valley for leisure. Traffic was terrrible travelling to and from Newcastle. Perhaps this will improve once the express highway is completed. Great apartments, plenty of room and clean. The only downside: we had a bottom floor apartment and we could hear the guests above us move their chairs constantly on the tiled floors and then filling the spa and draining it (midnight). Little sleep on the last night. Bookings at the Golf Club Restaurant are essential. Try the local wineries such as Amandas, thoroughly enjoyed the food.

We travelled with family. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. We all found it very comfortable. It was modern and well furnished. The fire place just completed the look. Matt at reception was very helpful. Would definitely choose to stay here again. We can't wait to go back!!

This Hotel has lovely rooms of a very high standard and very comfortable sleeping arrangements. The rooms were perfect upon arrival. The dishwasher worked properly and all the equipment provided was in excellent condition. A coffee plunger was the only extra thing i would have liked to be provided in the room.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment over 4 nights and was a very good location and very nice apartment, some of the apartments probably have a better view than others but ours was quiet private and nice. The apartment was well equipped and had everything you needed to cater in the apartment. It had a nice gas fireplace which heated up the room which was good. Everything you need and enough room for two couples without walking over each other. Would stay there again if i was in the area.

This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment is excellent in all aspects. We shared with another couple and we both had kingbeds and private bathrooms. 2 balconies at either end, a fabulous gas fireplace that heated the place beautifully. everything was top even all the kitchen ware was fabulous, clean and tidy. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the Hunter Valley. It also offers lock-up garage.
