Lovely hotel. WiFi inconsistent. TV didn’t work but in saying that the service man was prompt and friendly to fix the problem.

We really enjoyed the ambience of the "resort"

Excellent. As first timers, couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

From arrival to departure staff were welcoming and helpful. Alex sorted out a double up in payments (initially booked through Hunter Valley Information Centre). Nothing was too much trouble. Dinner at Elements was excellent.

After a very negative experience last time we stayed, we were offered another chance to experience what The Mecure Resort Hunter Valley could do. I'm glad we did. This time the staff were wonderful the room was what was to expected. Overall it was a lovely stay and we will return

Item of clothing was left in the cupboard and once I realized I had left it there after checking out, I contacted the hotel but received no assistance in locating the item. I made a special trip back to the hotel the following morning but was again not assisted, with the advice that the item had not been found. There was no further consideration of my plight and I received no response from management in the week that followed to explain what could have happened and what actions I could take to escalate my situation. This experience has totally ruined my expectations of an Accor property.

A good pleasant stay with great access to the Village Gardens & Shops.

I enjoyed my stay however was disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. We had a layer of dusk on our bed side table and chunks of hair in the shower drain. Additionally we tried to order room service. Their were no instructions as to how and after speaking to two different staff members on the phone we were able to work out that we were meant to download an app.. even though those were not the instructions provided by the staff member in the kitchen. Our plates were left outside our room as directed but we’re not collect until lunchtime the next day. That was after before woken three times by birds and other animals eating the crumbs off the plates. Our room was not made up the next day either.

Not worth the money

Close to wineries, Hunter valley gardens and other locations. The room was clean but missing some utensils and cups. No water in the room either as there is with most 4 star hotels. No room service menu either. Restaurant was booked out which was disappointing as we didn’t want to leave the resort, recommendations nearby was also closed so we were told Harrigans was close enough to walk but not very safe in the dark to walk to. A taxi service would have been nice to be offered. Wouldn’t stay again in a hurry.

Great location for exploring the Hunter Wine region; which is definitely worth a visit.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful; room was comfortable and very clean. The hotel is well designed with a wonderful library and fireplace where one can sit and read and enjoy a cup of the best coffee. Very peaceful. The restaurant food was excellent and well presented. Great wines by the glass and bottle. A lovely ambience. We will definitely be returning. I recommend a visit to the Hunter Gardens.

Booked a room, arrived for check in at 2:30pm where we enquired about a taxi or other service for our Dinner booking at Margans (20 min each way). Staff member laughed at us and offered no suggestions (on the night others were picked up/dropped off by taxi using Taxico). She then mentioned it is better to book for dinner for the second night, we dropped off our bags and returned to find no bookings left for dinner, no suggestions or help (found out Blaxland Inn has a courtesy bus after walking there). Room was great, location was great, but for a spread out area like the Hunter, staff could be much more proactive in transport options (the main reason anyone goes there is to consume alcohol after all).

Comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff

We stayed two nights. The room was well located easy walking distance to reception and restaurant area. Very happy with food and beverage. Coffee was disappointing. Bar area with pool table was an unexpected bonus. 4.9 stars (out of 5) would be a 5 with better coffee.

Very peaceful stay at a time that was very wet and cool. Lovely restaurant onsite. Particularly economical for Accor members as discounts apply in the restaurant. Comfortable, clean room, older style country feel, good Wi-fi and TV. Staff very helpful. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

For a Mercure Resort this hotel is overpriced and underserviced. Little attention to Accor Plus membership. Restaurant not available on arrival. We certainly were left wanting for the service we usually find at other Mercure Hotels. It is tired and under maintained.
