Lovely. I come every year with my grandchildren and have noticed that the maintenance in the rooms have not been attended as well as they were. At the breakfast bar no descent toaster. No separate packaging for jams, Vegemite ect. Not very hygienic for everyone to use the same jars…. Very disappointing.

As a Accor gold member, being in one of the best rooms, king deluxe with spa, it was poor cleaned, many things had rust including the spa. Bugs inside the room and under the sofa and around the walls. It was not clean, not hygienic.

We have chosen to stay at the Mercure HV Gardens a couple of times now and we were hoping to make this hotel a regular option for a local getaway. Last time was a great experience, with a lovely clean room and great staff experiences. On this latest visit, the room was really dirty. The cupboard doors had something spilt and ran down them. It looked dirty and was also sticky. There were multiple cobwebs on the walls/ceiling and we saw a small spider as well on the edge of the curtain. The other parts of the stay were good, but the room experience left us feeling very disappointed with the stay and considering whether we look for a different hotel for future stays.
