Room smelt stale and ordered soft drinks and juices at night, took 40mins to get drinks to the room and they were in tiny little take away cups. Great area but not what I expected from a Mercure

We visited as part of a getaway for my husband and I. The location was excellent - close to many wineries, the gardens, the pub and boutique shops. The room was spacious and was located on the upper level with a lovely balcony looking over the lake and the vineyard. There is a little bit of road noise but the outlook is very nice. We dined at the restaurant the first evening. It's more of a fine dining experience with only a couple of elements on the plate but the servings are adequate and the desserts were the highlight. The table service was excellent and the food and drinks menu is extensive. My only complaint would be that we weren't upgraded and it wouldn't be due to a full venue, as it was most definitely not. This is our 3rd stay as an Accor Gold member in 4 months at different locations, and we weren't offered an upgrade at any of them (which is disappointing). Would stay here again.

Great location in the middle of Pokolbin that is perfect for exploring the Hunter Valley and all that it offers. The room was very spacious and comfortable and always great when you don’t have to pay for car parking. The staff throughout the hotel are so lovely - warm and welcoming. The restaurant did a great pasta for dinner and breakfast is good

i stayed 1 night on my way further south and found the motel to be lovely. close to shops and the gardens made for a nice walk

We had a lovely stay. The hotel was conveniently located next to the Hunter Valley Gardens, which was the primary reason for our visit to the Hunter Valley. All the staff we encountered were welcoming and were willing to go out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Our room was spacious and was everything we needed.
