Where to begin !, following negative aspects 1. Awful stale smell in the room 2. Disgustingly dirty curtains 3. AC that barely worked 4. Dirty bathroom and no shampoo 5. Extremely uncomfortable bed, more like a slab of cement 6. No do not disturb sign 7. Very poor selection and quality of food served for breakfast 8. Cockroaches on food surface in the bar, disgusting

I stayed for 10 days on a business trip to Salvador Bahia - Mercure Boulevard. The room had cockroaches in three different days. The last day the insect flew on my head whilst I was sleeping, pf course I woke up and it was a huge cockroach. I called the reception and they moved me to another room, which was ok, but I wasn't feeling "safe" to be in any room anymore. The reception then said that it is normal when you go through a pest control procedure in your own house that these cockroaches come up, so I had to understand it was natural to happen in a hotel. After this justification, I just wanted to leave the hotel and never go back.

Well located, lacking maintenance

The hotel is in a good place for business trips, the staff is helpful, and the place is quite comfortable overall. They removed the hygienic shower from the bathroom citing some regulations which was odd, but if they say so... It added to the general feeling that maintenance could be improved, where the room table was clearly damaged but not replaced, and the bathroom finishings, such as the faucet, were popping out when used.

I loved the food, very clean, nice rooms but sooooo noisy. I stayed in the 21st floor and still could hear music somewhere. So, was hard to sleep sometimes.

The room is very worn, the bed noticeably old (including smelly pillowcases), the bathroom uncomfortable. The service was also below my expectations for a hotel of this level. I’d certainly consider other hotel in a next trip.

We spent our first night of our short trip to Salvador here. 15 minutes on foot from bus terminal and subway station and a few steps from Shopping Salvador. Room is spacy, clean and quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Gym and swimming pool looked nice, but we didn't have time to enjoy them.

It was not the first time that my wife and I suffered with the noise around the hotel .. and that last time the guests of rooms on the same floor of mine made a lot of noise in the middle of the night. Poor sleep quality.

I mad a formal complaint to the hotel email about the huge decrease in quality for the breakfast (I STAYED ON FEB 21-23, 2017). However the hotel completely ignored me and tried to deceive me trying to tell me it happened before the change in breakfast vendor. I am Platinum member and on 2016 stayed over 30 nights at this hotel. Even with this high status, I was completely ignored. Apparently this hotel does not serve the same high standard quality as Accor Services.

No problem at Mercure Boulevard. People are very nice. Services are very good too. The prices are fair. The location and the sleep quality are also excelent! We had lunch at the restaurant and he meal was quite good.

Very nice crew and hotel. Close to Salvador Shopping Mall, one of the best of Salvador, it´s an 8-minute walk. Breakfast is highly recommended. Wifi internet did not work at bathroom. Good choice, I would saty again.
