During our 6 days stay our room was never cleaned, we even had to ask toilet paper at the reception. The staff at the reception doesn’t speak English and doesn’t have the patience for questions.

The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was amazing. They speak English as well as Portuguese which is rare in Salvador, even in major stores, etc. The front desk woman was so courteous and she even said my Portuguese was "otimo" even though I know I was butchering the language. Highly recommend this hotel. You literally walk out the main doors and your steps away from a beautiful beach. The room was perfect. Loved my stay.

Well located. However, I've never seen some many cockroaches in the same place as in the ground floor of the hotel. Additionally, the bedroom scent was not so good, as it smelled like mold.

OK Stay but definitely room for improvement

What's good? Check-in staff were courteous and efficient, the hotel was well maintained and my room was as expected for an Ibis hotel. I would rate the breakfast at 8/10. Good location too in a relatively safe area next to numerous restaurants. Lots of taxis and ubers around the hotel. What's less good? Check-in staff spoke zero English so thankfully I was with a friend who spoke some Portuguese. Unlike my other Accor experiences, this hotel did not seem to have had made preparations for elite reservations, for instance the staff mentioned that there were no more rooms on high floors facing the ocean (so it was clear that they likely recognized my room preference but likely did not set aside a room accordingly). Also, we learned that some rooms had safes and some didn't... again, a room with a safe could have had been set aside for Elite reservations but here too they faltered. All in all, no serious complaints to write home about as it was a regular Ibis quality hotel though sadly with an absence of Accor Elite appreciation so that's where they failed to leave their mark. One last thing, one single small soap (for sink/shower) seemed a little scant for two guests especially during the present corona virus situation.

Suddenly I woke up and feel the whole floor was wet... A blaster condesation... Including my boots... Terrible... The staff is awesome... But the structure, the furnitures, the TV, the sheets and pillows... awful..
