It was under renovations and never advertised on the platform I booked (bkg.com) . I was assured works would start at 9am but they lied . From 8:15 everyday there was banging on my head . Housekeeping we to to clean my room at 5 pm … disgraceful . Never again

The Mercure is a nice hotel. It has a pleasant ambience and the lobby is welcoming. The rooms are comfortable, however, the faucets in the bathroom require a little fiddling around to get the right water temperature. This was irritating when you just want a quick shower. Irons I the rooms would be nice, because the ironing room was hot and there was nothing to hang garments. Aside from that I would definitely return to the Mercure. It's in a great location.

I loved my stay at Mercure Rio Vermelho. The employees are super nice and polite, the breakfast buffet is super complete and delicious, the location is awesome, next to cafes, restaurants and shops. There's a few beaches around the hotel which are amazing. The pool are is also amazing, I went there everyday during my stay. Special mention to Mauricio and Gilson who looked after us really well at the bar. The only downside was that the hotel was undergoing some maintenance so it was noisy from around 9am, and all afternoon. Besides that, spectacular stay and would 100% be back.

My wife and I really enjoyed a recent stay at the Mercure Rio Vermelho. The first thing that grabbed our attention was the extremely friendly staff. They are fantastic. From check in to the wonderful staff who were very friendly, attentive, and helpful at the pool bar (Mauricio & Gilson). A great opportunity to mention the pool overlooking the ocean is really great.The breakfast was also very good with lots of great options. The room we had featured a view of the ocean and was very spacious. Although there were a few ageing things (particularly noticeable in the bathroom), the room had great WIFI and a big new smart TV. The only major downside was there were some maintenance works during our visit, with hammering and drilling starting at around 8-9am in the morning. Luckily, we had a busy schedule and it didn’t affect us as we were awake, otherwise it would be pretty annoying. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay, and can’t wait to return soon! Thank you!
