I was very happy with my 21 (twenty-one) night stay except that when I booked and prepaid for the hotel and I was not advised that the upstairs restaurant and bar was closed for renovations. I wanted to entertain many of my family members and friends up there and as such had to re-book other venues in the city which was NOT convenient to me. Unfortunately, there was also NO hot water in the rooms for the last 2 days at my stay :-(

Dear SO/ Vienna Guest Relations, I’m writing about my recent stay (July 20). I was genuinely disappointed, and I’d like to request a partial refund. I chose SO/ Vienna over other options — and paid its premium — for one reason: Das LOFT. I’d planned a sunset dinner there, and it was the whole point of booking with you. On arrival I found it closed for renovation, with only a makeshift bar in one corner and no food service at all. I’d received no notice of this beforehand — nothing on the Expedia listing when I booked, and no message or email from the hotel afterward. The evening I’d planned simply wasn’t possible. There were a few other issues on top of that: • Breakfast was relocated to the 4th floor, with no views and a very limited selection — and my order was brought incorrectly. • On check-in I found a stain on the bed and called to change rooms. You kindly accommodated, but this was around midnight, after a long day of travel, and cost me roughly half an hour when I badly needed rest. (This should be reflected in your records.) I left feeling like I paid a full premium rate for an experience that delivered almost none of what I’d booked it for. On that basis, I believe a partial cash refund of 50% would be a fair remedy, and I’d appreciate your help arranging it. I’ve valued the SO/ and Accor experience elsewhere, and I’d much prefer to resolve this directly and amicably. I look forward to your reply. Best regards, J
