Unfortunately, our stay at SO/Vienna was disappointing. Our room was in need of several repairs, with damage to the dividing wall, chair, drawers, makeup mirror, and bedside lamps clinging for dear life on the wall. The Apple TV, which was specifically highlighted in the pre-arrival email, was locked to someone else’s Apple ID and therefore completely unusable. At €42 per person, the breakfast is frankly laughable given the quality of the food. I’ve had better meals in complimentary airport lounges. Thankfully, we found a fantastic breakfast spot just down the street where both of us were able to eat for €40, including tip. Overall, the hotel gave the impression of a property struggling to maintain its standards. The lobby, despite being in an otherwise beautiful building, felt dark and dingy, with a single speaker playing rather bizarre club music that did little to improve the atmosphere. Ultimately, the pricing simply doesn’t reflect the quality of the experience. SO/Vienna has the potential to be a great hotel, but the condition of the rooms, the lacklustre breakfast, and the general atmosphere fell well short of expectations. Additionally, front desk staff were confused and unaware of benefits offered by booking through Amex. The only highlights during our stay were the fantastic cleaning staff and friendly check out staff, but unfortunately we’ll go back to staying at Hilton properties in town.

My experience at SO/ Vienna was truly wonderful. The hotel is stunning, combining minimalist design with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while the bright, beautifully appointed rooms offer every detail for a comfortable stay and spectacular views. DAS LOFT is equally impressive, with its breathtaking architectural design. What truly makes the difference, however, is the outstanding hospitality of the entire team, whose kindness and attentiveness made my stay even more special. A special thank you to Jana, the Sales Manager, for her exceptional warmth and for taking the time to show me the hotel’s beautiful meeting rooms filled with natural daylight. A truly outstanding hotel in every respect, which I would recommend without hesitation!

The room was clean and stylish. The desk, dinning room and bellboy staffs were always friendly, courteous and helpful. They made best efforts to accommodate special dietary restrictions, though could use some improvements for the future to better meet my needs. The views, especially from the 18th floor dinning room, were amazing. Additionally, there were certain items in the room that were in need of repair (was informed my floor was one of 2 that had not be redone recently, so more items were in need of repair/replacement) that never got fixed within my week long stay. The staff was apologetic about these issues and offered to switch my room once was clear that the issues couldn't be resolved at that time, though it was too late in my stay until that became clear, so no new room was seen.

Dirty curtains , poor quality mattress, cheap furniture. Breakfast is very average and often mistakes were made when room service used.

We missed our connecting flight and had to book a hotel unexpectedly, but what could have been a stressful stopover turned into a lovely experience! Excellent location, lovely views from the room and at breakfast. Large and comfortable room with a comfortable bed. Lights around the sinks did not work. Staff at check in were kind. A very nice hotel but there was a certain lack of warmth, kindness or helpfulness.

The hotel service and staff are very helpful. Overall the breakfast is amazing . Decoration is depressing and dark in the lobby and is quite frightening.

Had a leak and got moved. Staff were great and helpful. Got moved to black suite - got no issues with the black in principle but being black it requires extra lighting. It was impossible to see in some areas even with all lights on. Also air con very loud and didn't seem to work

My arrival experience was disappointing. My special room request was not fulfilled, and I was not allocated a room on a high floor as requested. The reception team was not welcoming or friendly, and I felt little recognition as an ALL Platinum member. No one offered to help with our luggage. I expected a more attentive and welcoming experience from SO/ Vienna.
