Everything is good except the price is too expensive compared to Hilton or some other hotels

Spent 7 nights at the SO/ Vienna in May 2026. Fantastic level of service from all the staff. Excellent buffet breakfast with views of the city. Good gym (though a little warm). Great location - Stephansplatz and the Hofburg complex are walkable, though the U-Bahn is just across the canal.

The AC in my first room was broken (had 30 degrees in the room) - technician did something and told me to wait half an hour. Still no improvement - got another room which was nice but the light in the closed did not turn off (was next to the bed) - which was not good as well.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vienna. The hotel boasts a very stylish and modern design and is perfectly situated in the city center. It’s incredibly convenient to walk to major shopping streets and attractions, and catching a taxi from the hotel is just as easy. During my visit, I had the pleasure of staying in two different room types—one featuring a sophisticated grey aesthetic and the other a crisp, all-white design. Both rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and offered all the amenities one could need. I was particularly impressed by the housekeeping team; they were meticulous and thoughtful, even going as far as neatly coiling my charging cables every day. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. It offers a great balance of a high-quality buffet and an extensive à la carte menu. The fact that the à la carte items are unlimited and offer so much variety meant that every day started perfectly. The rooftop restaurant, SO/, is also a standout feature. Whether for breakfast or dinner, the atmosphere is fantastic, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. My only regret was that the restaurant is so popular that it was fully booked for dinner during my stay. I would suggest that the hotel reserve a certain number of tables specifically for in-house guests to ensure they can enjoy the hotel’s own dining services. In terms of facilities, while there is no swimming pool, the gym is well-equipped and sufficient. The overall experience was extremely comfortable. The front desk staff were excellent and professional. However, I would suggest implementing a priority desk for loyalty members to allow for a faster check-in and check-out process without the need to queue. Overall, this is a top-tier hotel. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Vienna.
