Had a leak and got moved. Staff were great and helpful. Got moved to black suite - got no issues with the black in principle but being black it requires extra lighting. It was impossible to see in some areas even with all lights on. Also air con very loud and didn't seem to work

My arrival experience was disappointing. My special room request was not fulfilled, and I was not allocated a room on a high floor as requested. Stayed 3 nights using the Amex Platinum Hotels Collection travel service. Not remembering what star-level SO/ Vienna was rated, i would say it's comps out to a solid 4.5 star hotel (compared to ~20 comps in US/EUR/ASIA).

My stay at SO/ Vienna fall below 5-star standards:
- No arrival support: Nobody helped us with our luggage upon arrival; we had to carry everything ourselves.
- Unusable & insecure Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi network was completely unsecured and making it impossible to work. When I called reception for help, the staff member simply said they didn't know and brushed me off.
- Unusable bathtub & lazy fix: The drain of the bathtub in our room was spoiled. When reported, reception told us to wait and never revert. Followed up with another call after long wait and was told that the technician was off work and told us "not to use the bathtub."
- Lacking 5-star service: Basic hospitality and proactive service were non-existent throughout the stay.
For a luxury property charging premium rates, dismissive staff, broken amenities, and unsecured Wi-Fi are unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here. For the view, can just have breakfast at the restaurant.

We came her for our minimoon and it was perfect. The room was lovely and modern, and the hotel has a spa where we could relax when we weren't sightseeing. It's also close to restaurants and a little shop around the corner so was perfect for us. The views from the top floor bar area was fantastic as well! We would definitely stay again!
