Budapest Break

TripAdvisor rating 5.0/5

tiddleydee TripAdvisor review

A lovely 4 night city-break. Hotel is a fab base for sightseeing , it's also right on the doorstep of the hugely popular Heroes Square monument. Hotel is very clean and staff very helpful and friendly, especially the lovely barman who looked after us most evenings. We didn't book breakfast, but it looked like a great selection, and you are able to buy separately if you wish. Would book again if going back to Budapest. Well done Ibis!

Dusty room, dusty atmosphere.

Gipsymood Families - TripAdvisor review

Totally hopeless staff. Zero service. Ignorance towards the guests. Dusty rooms. Dirty bathroom. Noisy. Never again. I have been in hotels from 1 star and up.Good and bad experiences. But in this hotel, I have just resigned. Nothing works , nobody cares. No atmosphere . I love Budapest ,and next time I will find a good place to stay.

Disappointing Experience at Ibis Heroes Square

juliachriste Families - TripAdvisor review

I stayed at the Ibis Heroes Square hotel in Budapest in June, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. Upon arrival, the staff seemed completely disengaged, either too busy chatting among themselves or glued to their phones to acknowledge us as we entered or left the hotel. Additionally, the sound insulation was inadequate; we could hear other guests through the air vents, making it difficult to sleep peacefully. The lack of friendliness and clarity regarding our check-in process left us feeling unwelcome. We complained about our experience, and the hotel offered us a discounted stay in October to give them another chance. Now that we’re here again, things have only gotten worse. Upon our arrival, the receptionist didn’t even look at us or greet us, forcing us to say “hello???” to get their attention. Our room faced the street, which was fine, but it lacked fresh air, resulting in a constant smell of exhaust filling the space. The toiletries were empty and not replaced by housekeeping. We had to go down to the reception to request more. The cleaning was also subpar; we spilled some chip crumbs on the floor, and they were never vacuumed. Dust was everywhere, making this hotel unsuitable for allergy sufferers. The bathroom and floors had stains and were dirty, and the mattress and mattress topper kept sliding around, which was incredibly irritating. I could go on for pages about why you should avoid this hotel, but I believe this says enough. I will not be returning to this hotel again.

Mihai Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Clean, simple, good food. Had a fire alarm over my bed that kept blinking all night, quite annoying. The second night there was a couple fighting in the next room until 4 AM, and you could hear everything they say with loud volume through the ventilation system. I payed for parking on the terrace, second day there was no spot left and I needed to move my car to underground garage through a very crowded sidewalk.

Dear Mihai, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay with us. We are truly sorry for the disturbances caused by the fire alarm and noise from neighboring guests. Regarding the parking situation, we regret the inconvenience you faced with the terrace parking availability, however we are happy you could use the underground garage, which is in fact more spacious, and at the same price. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will address these issues internally to prevent recurrence. Thank you for appreciating our cleanliness, simplicity, and good food. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with a more pleasant stay. Warm regards, Roland Viglási General Manager
