The good bits - comfy bed - air con that worked on a hot weekend - decent choice for breakfast - my husband was able to watch the champions league final in the room / bar area! The less good bits - 1 receptionist running both reception and the bar - madness = queuing - In our party of 6 rooms - 3 had a/c that didn't work - Hotel upstairs and the rooms are quite tired and in need of updating - Bathroom is very dated - Parking was a hassle to book - £15 euro's extra - Outside bar space is not pleasant

We arrived shortly before check in time at 2pm and had to wait 1.5h in the lobby until our room was prepared to move in. The receptionist asked us to wait in the breakfast room/lobby which was dark and not inviting at all. The hotel was not booked up either and we didn’t understand why no other room was allocated to us. Once we could go to our room on the fourth floor, the room had the most tiniest window and the whole room felt dark and not welcoming. The floor had a carpet which smelled unpleasant. The furniture were used and the whole room was just very, very basic. The breakfast was also so disappointing. There was hardly anything left at 9.30am on a Sunday since a large group had breakfast before us and the lady didn’t care to restock the buffet. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The pictures look good on the Internet but the reality looks very different. The only good thing is the parking in the courtyard for 15 Euros!

Hotel is easy to find and is located within a short walk of the town centre, the Cathedral and the Old Town. The staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is very clean and well presented. Bedrooms are quite large, clean, and beds are comfortable. Breakfast offers a good selection of products, and there is a hot option. There's a secure car park at the rear of the hotel, available for an extra cost. Overall, this hotel is ideal for a stopover, or short break.
