The location of the hotel is quite good. there is U-Bahn station in 5 minutes' walk. you can reach to historic town center easily. Breakfast was amazing, we enjoyed a lot. Rooms are quite and clean. Staffs were nice and helpful. We enjoyed staying at Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof.

Overall good stay. The venue was clean, the staff friendly and courteous. The breakfast was great. The location is very central and easy public trx. Only downside was the duvet, too small for tall people.

Across the stree there is Flemings otel ı stated there for 4 more days. The price is the same but the quality is way more better than mercure hotel. The room is so small not even coffee pr tea machine inside. This room doesn’t worth that price

The good: We had one of the so-called 'budget' rooms which was reasonably priced and quite cosy. I Some have complained about the decor of these rooms but I found it to be just fine. The less good: The room lacked basic amenities such as a kettle and a fridge and even air conditioning. It turns out that they have removed these from the budget rooms. It seems that in their point of view, 'budget' travellers are some kind of 2nd class citizens and don't deserve to be able to make a cup of tea or have a cold drink? Note that a lot of the rooms face the street, however the double-glazing kept the noise out. It might be a different story if it's summer time and you need to have the windows open. On the front desk we received a welcome that seemed rather formal. And the young woman who checked us out the next day was quite cold. I understand that you probably do get tired of seeing all of the tourists every day, but if you're tired of it, it might be time to look for a different job? In the lounge downstairs there is a small outside area with, which would be great to sit out in, but... no wait it seems like it is given over to smokers! We actually experienced the same in another hotel on Landstrasse. The limited outside seating is given to the smokers. I can understand that maybe 25 years ago, but in 2025? In spite of my criticisms, I liked the hotel well enough to consider returning. A recommendation on this area: If you like walking, instead of walking down the very commercial MariaHilferstrasse, try walking down the Stumpergasse (two streets down Mariahilfer, on the right). Lots of nice things here: a health food shop, a traditional pub, a thai restaurant, a pizza place, independent cafes, and more. Continue all the way down to the scenic Karl Pinz platz.
