Location is great. Close to the museum quarter, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The rooms are so unique, very welcoming and comfortable! Highly recommend for solo travelers, as well. The front desk is able to hold your luggage if you are early for check in or would like to explore the city more after check out.

Hotel located close to Museum Quartiers and walking distance to Kartner and Graben shopping streets. Hotel and rooms are decorated in vibrant, fun and circus themed colors. Plenty of corners where you can take instagramable photos. Service is a bit impersonal but hotel staffs are helpful. There is a rooftop bar. Unfortunately whether was a bit too cold for us to enjoy our drinks outside. For those who like to cycle, they provide rental bicycles too. All in all, a great hotel to stay in Vienna.

Aspects of this hotel are fantastic – the restaurant, the breakfast, the bar, the location etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. The disappointment – was the bedroom. I booked a medium bedroom on booking.com which was meant to have a double bed. Instead, I had two single beds pushed together – so rather uncomfortable. I asked the receptionist if a topper could be put on it, or something done to create a double – nothing happened so clearly no. I had asked for a bath but was told these rooms came with rain showers. Despite this, a basic shower was in the bathroom – not a rain shower. I had also asked for an upper floor as I wanted a quiet room, and a note was put on my reservation. I got a noisy lower floor room that looked out on the road - so early morning wake ups! I asked for a kettle and tea on two days – got nothing. Asked for the AC to be looked at (it did little more than blow warm air) and again – nothing happened. The finishing in the room was off, it felt shabby and not the chic type.

Whilst this is a really cool place and the rooftop bar has a super retro vibe and was clearly very popular, there were a couple of things that really let it down. First the complimentary minibar is really over selling itself, there are 2 beers and water, no wine, no spirits, that is not a mini bar. To make a coffee requires using this odd filter system which twice collapsed, I gave up. The biggest issue however is the shower, the first day it flooded the bathroom in seconds, I had to use towels to mop up the water. I informed the front desk and was assured it would be remedied, next morning exactly the same thing, no real apology, basically meant there was a 30 second window for a shower, not what I’m paying $250!- night for. I assumed this was an isolated incident, but as I was checking out another guest came and made exactly the same complaint. 25 hours get your house in order!
