Mercure Berlin City is ideally located to explore Berlin, base for great walking tours and the subway station "Naturkundmuseum" next door as well. An outstanding feature is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, not only individuals but you feel this spirit in every department. Rooms are on the smallish side, compensated by what I said above.

I stayed at the hotel for three 3 nights and the air conditioning did not work between 12 midnight till 5 in the morning on all the 3 nights. It was extremely hot and stuffy and an uncomfortable stay. Complete waste of money. Will not recommend it at all.

It was great, even thought it was just one night i really have appreciated my stay there with you. The Staff was great! very friendly, there was a Colleage from Guatemala super friendly, and when i made the check out, the lady at the front desk said to me "ok alles erledigt, vielen Dank" everything was very easy. Many thanks! Just one thing ( i think easy to solve ) the bed and the Pillow were very very soft i was sinking into the bed, it is a matter of taste, i know, but i prefer hard beds. The hotel is well located and the staff generally friendly. However, I had the impression I did not receice a room upgrade despite being an Accor Gold member and my room on the 2nd floor was obviously not high-up enough/ too close to the street tram tracks (which cause a lot of noise/ vibrations also late at night & very early mornings). I was also missing a proper Nespresso coffee machine in my room.

Staff were friendly, the room was small but that only affected where i could put my case. I had a privledge room meaning the mini bar fridge was included. I only tried one drink, id have preferred snacks as opposed to drinks . Comfortable bed and the room was quiet at night. Well located short walk to shops and tourist attractions.

Great hotel centrally located in Mitte. Easy to find and close to public transportation only two stops from Hauptbahnhof. The service is excellent and they serve a breakfast with everything available. Big rooms and nicely decorated hotel. I loved it!

Super location, helpful, pleasant staff and compact air-conditioned rooms but the state of the carpets in our rooms and throughout the corridors were disgusting. They obviously have not been replaced in years and the grime and stains made you feel quite uncomfortable even though the rest of the room was very clean. My son asked to be moved from his room as the condition of his carpets were so disgustingly bad - but the replacement room wasn't much better. The hotel did supply him with some slippers though! This hotel is not cheap, and I am shocked that it retains it's 4 star rating in its current condition!

For instance, hairdryer didn't work. Water didn't stop in the toilet, no overflow, but continue to flow slightly. Some lights on buttons did not turn on in the elevator.

Great hotel, well located and with numerous transport links right outside. Staff all lovely and helpful. A couple of minor issues - not being able to turn the AC below 18°C, no welcome amenity despite platinum loyalty status, and the complimentary water being sparkling not still. Just nitpicking really; I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. I love Berlin so I’m sure I’ll be back again.

The mercure is 3 mins from the underground and the tram is across the road The staff are helpful in travelling the city The room was spacious, clean and bathroom too

Overall very positive, welcoming and helpful staff, hotel was a great location, room was comfortable and thankfully at the back of the hotel so was quiet. Online check in was perfect. The only negative was the carpet in the room (224) smelled damp and looked dirty, not sure if it was dirt or the pattern.

I'm writing about serious failings during my recent stay. I booked **3 nights, 2 twin rooms**. Both rooms faced the street with heavy tramway noise. As an **Accor Gold member**, I asked to change sides, move floors, or be upgraded. The duty manager refused, claiming the hotel was full and that twin rooms only existed on the first floor. **Both claims were false** — I could see plenty of availability online across nearly all categories, and the next day another manager admitted I had been given wrong information and moved us to the third floor. On a separate booking for a fourth night, I asked for a third room near my others and was again told the hotel was full. Again false, as online availability clearly showed. An upgrade was only granted after I pushed back repeatedly. This is unacceptable: repeated false information from staff, incompetent room management, and a complete disregard for my Gold status. One manager handled things properly; the rest of the experience was well below the standard Accor claims to offer loyal members.
