The worst room in the hotel is what I’m assuming we had as it looked like something out of 1974, was very small, and looked over the garages at the back. Oh dear, so much for lake side. There was valet service but it came at a cost of $50. The lovely staff at front of house offered complimentary drinks which was a nice gesture.

The location of the hotel is really good but some of tbe reception team isn’t friendly. I am an Accor member and whenever I go I get an upgrade from my booked room except this time. I asked for an upgrade and the reception lady declined my request even I used to have a free minibar stuff for every stay and I asked for the same and my request was declined. The reception lady was unfriendly and when I spoke to the duty manager nothing changed and she advised that I should be having Accor plus account. The reception team is unfriendly and this made me unhappy. There should be a better way to deal with Accor members.

Great location, central to Queenstown with everything just a few minutes walk away. Lovely spot with view of the lake and for taking a walk around the park. Also next to the play area for little ones. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They will try and help in anyway they can. Offering restaurant tips or ideas on where to visit. Reception always had lots of staff on so the wait was never too long. $50 per day for valet parking seemed rather steep but they will park and retrieve your car very quickly whenever you want it but this was the highest charge we paid at a hotel in Queenstown. The reason for only three stars; the place is tired. The reception and bar area are modern and everywhere is clean but you dint have to step far to see it needs an update. The beds were comfy and furniture good but the carpet was worn. The bathroom was chipped in a number of places including tiles and the bathroom tub. Sound proofing is awful. You can hear anyone going down the corridor, your neighbours using the bathroom, people moving about or taking above and below, so not conducive to a restful nights sleep. Shame as this hotel could be the best in Queenstown.
