Great Location , And the Staff Done Everything they could of to make our Stay Perfect - Very Helpful, But you booking Web Site is Rubbish I had booked for 3 x People 2 Adults 1 (11 year old child) and your Web Site Put us all in the One Bed ! so once getting to our Room it Cost MORE for another BED !

we travelled to Queenstown for a short stay and used the Mercure as a base for activities, as well as a location to take in the views of the Remarkables and the lake. it did not disappoint as the room and general hotel spaces offered excellent -picture postcard - views of the magnificent scenery.

Bathrooms need a revamp. Mini bar could be organised but nice to have it readily available. No umbrellas outside near restaurant. The staff were very nice. We did get overcharged on both visits to the restaurant and had to bring it to your attention, once charged for 4 meals instead of 2, another time for an extra wine. Breakfast caotic. You had run out of bacon completely, poached eggs completely and we had to wait for more food and people were standing around waiting for a table looking very uncomfortable. Chicken at dinner was overcooked. Burger roll for room service was stale.

We stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon. The Location, staff, accommodation, and room were amazing. The staff was so kind that they upgraded our room and gave us chocolates as we celebrated our honeymoon. will definitely stay again when we are back in Queenstown!

The stay was neat, but if I have to be critical- Very limited TV channels Extremely limited car parking space Breakfast not included 'Garden facing' room is a joke Pretty far out walk to reach lakeside Far from city centre After staying at Rydges previous night paying $215 which included breakfast and lake view, our stay at Mercure felt like a bummer

Rooms were excellent. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The service was prompt. Breakfast could have some more options or different menus for different days. Since I stayed there for 5 nights, the breakfast got monotonous in the end

The highlights for me were the stunning views of The Remarkables during breakfast, the comfortable room and I must mention Abishek, the very helpful staff who went out of his way to make our experience a positive one and portrayed a good image of the whole team. There was also another Nepalese staff, unsure of his name, who was very pleasant and helpful. I was looking forward to the pool but it was too cold and the only two hot tubs next to it were always occupied. The sauna has to be self-operated and can be quite tricky for most to get it right. So besides the marvellous views and nice rooms there aren’t any good facilities. The staff are surely it’s best asset.

Cleaning people not refilled towels properly example v were 4 in the room they used to refill 1 day with 4 towels second day they refilled only 3 towels 2 shower gels third day only 2 towels and it continued like this for 5 days Breakfast was tooo boring

I’m sad to say that our experience was disappointing. This was part of our honeymoon and since we were in queenstown the longest, we decided to stay somewhere fancy. Since we were paying quite a bit per room, there were some expectations that were decidedly not met. For example, when we walked in, the first thing I noticed was how dirty the carpet was. There was litter everywhere like it hadn’t been vacuumed in some time. This continued to the 2nd floor where our room was as well. Luckily, the room itself was clean. The “free parking” was deceiving since it is just street parking and two night we were quite a ways down the street. Again, for the price we paid we should not have had this issue. The elevator was ancient and mound. We could hear it all night and we were down the hall quite a ways. We had to purchase ear plugs in town. On the second day the elevator was closed and I was glad it was going to be fixed....but we continued to hear it our 3rd and 4th nights. Last, We specifically picked somewhere with a pool and hot tub. We always love to swim and relax after a long day traveling. Sadly, the hot tub was never warm. I asked the front desk about it each day and they always said it was because someone left the cover off. This seemed like a poor excuse since and I don’t think anyone ever really followed up. Just false promises. Also, the pool was freezing! I didn’t see a single person swim. Everyone touched the water and then Immediately got into the “hot tubs.” Between the dirtiness, parking, loud/broken elevator, pool and spa I was very disappointed since we spent over $2,000 on our room. The view was amazing, but it wasn’t worth that much money.
