Stunning location but a very, very tired hotel! Staff were pretty good. The view from the rooms is exceptional - typical for Queenstown but the carpets, walls and bathrooms needs a lot of renovating.

Our room looked very nice but we had the following issues, none of which seemed to be new or of any urgency for management to fix: One bedroom had a wet area on the carpet with no explanation, this wasn't a simple spill as it was there when we checked in and when we left; fireplace didn't work and clothes dryer didn't work both reported to us by clerk when we checked in. We received no compensation other than desk clerk, who appeared to be embarrassed that known issues with the room existed, gave us a "free" bottle of wine.

Was exploring Queenstown as a solo traveler. Reception staff were great and the room wasn't the fanciest place I stayed but was roomy and comfortable. The free guest laundry was a definite bonus. Location to the action of the city was also a positive, just a short walking distance to restaurants and tourist sights.

decor has become tired and worn, so for the price I paid, I think there needs to be a redecorate, even simply hiding the wiring and box propped behind the tv
