Modern comfortable hotel

We stopped at the modern, comfortable Ibis Budget in Lons le Saunier during a drive from Piemonte to the Channel in an electric car. The hotel had a good charger and was a short convenient drive from town. Lons itself is a lovely city, interesting to visit, with good food. The hotel provided a good breakfast, after a pleasant night's sleep.

Less service but more expensive

We stayed there for fourteen days. Only once the room was cleaned. Three times hardly any breakfast. Explanation: they did not deliver on time. Previous operators were great. That is a shock now.

Not able to check in after long journey

On 21.07.2024, I was not able to check in after 10 pm. The check in machine was frozen on previous client's reservation. I couldn't press anything on the screen. When I put my card in the machine, also nothing happened. There was no emergency number to call. I pressed the button saying 'emergency' next to entrance and there was some automated message in French and nothing happened. We were extremely tired after long journey and there wasn't even a contact number to call in this situation. I tried calling the hotel but obviously was disconnected as there was no one at reception. Horrible experience. I had to search for another hotel in the area late at night. Until today (30.07), I'm still waiting for the refund.
