The hotel itself is great, very clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. My only issue was that the fridges in the room weren’t even cold. We stayed in Essen for a festival and so we didn’t have many opportunities to get food, so we got some from a market and were hoping to leave it in the fridge so we could eat each morning and not have to worry about finding a restaurant. However as the fridge wasn’t even cold, all our food spoiled within a day. We asked the staff to check if the fridge was working and they explained they don’t really get cold. That doesn’t make much sense to me and because of it we had to spend a lot more money or go without food, if we’d had a proper fridge we would have been able to enjoy our stay more

We had a pleasant stay in a spacious room with a balcony. Parking garage under the hotel. You enter and exit with just one ticket during your whole stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Good quality reakfast but a bit overproced. Some seats on the balcony would prevent having to dragging chais from the room onto the balcony.

Out second stay. The hotel is convenient for both the city centre and the Rüttenscheid district. The road outside is busy, so you may be woken early if you leave your windows open.

Very nice hotel and easy to get to with public transport, only a 15 minute walk from Essen Hbf or 5 minutes from the nearest U-Bahn and tramstop. I also got a free upgrade from a standard to a deluxe room.

Perfecte service aan de receptie, schone kamers. Ontbijt kan iets beter voor het geld, maar zeker niet slecht. Op loopafstand van prima restaurants. Comfortabel parkeren in de garage of op 100m in een publieke garage.
