I arrived to my room. The air conditioning was not working. When I called they told me the government had to provide authorization. This is not true since it is only required when there is a need for heat not foe cold. I also requested in the morning if they could call the Novatel hotel because m had left a device. They told me I could walk to Novotel. This is the only bad experience I had in my life with accord hotels so I understand that is a managementproblem and not a problem ith the chain. Manager needs to be more involved.

The air was off. It was and muggy inside the room. When receptionist was called, we were told air cannot be turned on. We opened the window. As a result, several Marc s got in the room. Couldn't sleep because it f the buzzing of insects. Next morning, our faces and arms were covered with insect bites !

Threatening pre-arrival email received from Veronica A. A phone call to the hotel unanswered for 6 minutes. Had to hang up. An email to the hotel ignored. Member of staff at check-in indifferent, no welcome procedure, wearing no name tag. Had to ask for a welcome drink voucher. No voucher issued, just sent to a bar. No idea how much a taxi to the airport costs. Had to pay double the amount mentioned.

Unfortunately we got a room with broken toilet - water was always on the floor. Room is extremely dark (not enough light). Doesn't matter Diamond you or not - you will be served as usual. Personal is good

In a business district close to the motorway the location is convenient for work travellers. As a cheaper alternative to the Novotel next door, I chose to stay here (after 10 years) as I find the Ibis Sweet Bed particularly comfortable, but it turns out that was almost the only redeeming feature of this hotel. The receptionist that checked me in was polite and competent and was gracious when I requested a room change after the first one, despite being a no-smoking room stank of stale cigarettes. The second room did not smell, however there were cigarette burns on the sink and curtains. People were also openly smoking out of their bedroom windows in non smoking rooms. The other two members of staff manning the bar (restaurant was closed, I guess due to COVID) were incompetent, confused and slow. Another guest had to physically point out the drink he wanted from the spirits bar, as the staff member couldn’t see it, even though it was right in front of him and was a popular aperitivo. There were two choices on the QR-code menu to eat, lasagne and cannelloni, although the other barman (who didn’t speak very good Italian and scuffed around on his feet with an ill-fitting shirt and a mask which never went over his nose) wasn’t forthcoming with what was available and you had to ask him individually if each item was there, at which point he checked in the fridge and replied with a one-word answer. The food itself was acceptable, however grossly overpriced for a microwave ready meal. I was also told (for the first time ever) that the welcome drink didn’t allow alcohol (despite what the T&Cs printed on the voucher said) and so had to have water, coke or fruit juice. I didn’t bother having breakfast, McDonald’s is a 3 minute drive away and does a great coffee and pastry for €2,40. Overall an experience that fell well short of my expectations for any hotel, let alone the Ibis chain. However, the Sweet Bed was comfy and the room rate was cheap, but that is no excuse for inept staff and poor standards.

It’s been more than 10 years since I ve been at ibis Sesto Fiorentino Hotel and I still chose it for my business trips. Friendly staff,free parking,quiet area and very clean rooms.I suggest it,specially for travellers by car!!!

Front desk customer service was excellent. Service at the restaurant was excellent as well. Rooms need some renovations. Room and bathroom to small.There were long hairs on our bathroom floor every day. We didn't know the location of the hotel, but it is too far away from the city center.

In our vacation, we must stay in Firenze. The city is very nyce. We wanted one hotel Accor because various indications about the quality of this. The hotel in Sexto Fiorentino was certenly adequated for us.

Clean and comfortable. Rooms and services are standard for IBIS hotels. It's excellent that every time you can rely on IBIS in case of comfortable beds. Thre is standard Italian breakfast. I wish there was something hot.

Drove to Firenze and stayed in the hotel in the outskirts then got the No 30 bus for 2.5 euros to the station. Excellent value. ALL the staff was so really genuinely friendly and helpful and went over and above the norm to assist. The staff at the desk were superb and a special mention for the handyman "Jonathon" who was so nice and effecient

Hotel room does not provide complimentary bottled water and toiletries. Considering that there are no supermarket within walking distance, this should be provided. It would have been nice to provide such basics

The staff were good and generally helpful. My comments are not intended to criticise them.I booked the stay from 16-20 August in July and chose the particular because it offered an in house restaurant open every day. When I arrived I found the restaurant advertised on the door of the hotel and in the first lift I used. I was however concerned to see in the second lift that I used a note that restaurant was closed on an unspecified week-end. On checking with reception I was told the restaurant was closed on all four nights of our stay. We accepted a standard bar meal the first night and I saw the assistant manager the next morning. He advised I had been told of the closure when I booked on line. I had all four pages of my booking acknowledgement and eventually he had to agree I had not been advised blaming the Web page Department. My anger was increased on finding the restaurant was opened for special coach trips on the Thursday and Friday.The only compromise I could achieve was some additions to the bar menu from the normal restaurant menu but it was not the same as a full restaurant choice and had to be selected after breakfast and taken in the bar. This lack of advertised facilities compromised the enjoyment of our stay.
