Clean, modern, and comfortable

I needed a modern, reliable, and affordable stay, I of course booked through Ibis. The staff are welcoming, the hotel is new, the rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms clean, appliances new, bedsheets bright white, clearly changed daily. It was what I wanted. Nonetheless, the hotel itself is quite far from Firenze, and in Prato which is not well-connected to Firenze, a shuttle would have been useful, even if it only ran once an hour. Not everyone who stays there has a car. It ended up costing me a fortune just travelling to and From Firenze (55-60 euros each way) which would entice me to pick Firenze center and pay a little extra. The train station is about 15-20 minute walk but that itself is not ideal since the hotel is in a deserted industrial area. During the day the mall next door was very useful, and I got some needed shopping done, so that is an extra plus. The hotel managed to get me a reliable taxi as I was leaving on a Sunday morning during train strike, and I appreciated that. Given my time constraints I did not have the breakfast, and did not try the bar, but I have no doubt that it would have been satisfactory. Will likely return here if I had a car, since I do not like crowded cities. Given the fact that I stayed at many Ibis hotels, this one cannot get more than 7, as it was satisfactory, but nothing out of the ordinary. The fact that it was in Prato, on the other end of Firenze Airport, is slightly misleading as well. Ibis Tuscany would likely have been a better choice. See you next time!

The hotel is located a bit outside the city center of Florence, near a big shopping mall, This gives good value for money. Nice welcoming staff. Comfortable sleep in a ordinary type room. I liked the bath tub in my room. The hotel bar closes a bit early, but why not.

I arrived at 10 i asked the receptionist for my room she said the check in is at 14:00 i told her that i have already sent an email to check in earlier , which she replied i would give a room now but you have to pay 15€ more. The key never works. Everytime i had to go to the reception to fix it. That was very annoying. I called the hotel one day to get me a taxi to get to the hotel and they said no do it yourself This is my worst experience with a hotel ever
