Great hotel but terrible door to the bathroom

Novotel Florence Airport is a great hotel: Competent and friendly staff, good swimming pool and high comfort. The big black spot is the bathroom door in the hotel room. A slippery glass door with insufficient floor support. As a result, closing the door is noisy, and the door slammed on the support because it isn't held sufficiently. It's a pity that this hotel doesn't offer the new mattresses that can be found in other Novotel hotels.

Clima did not work

We stayed in Novotel in Firenze. It was over 30 Degrees outside and the clima did not work. We had to move room at 3 in the Morning because they didn’t manage to do that earlier. But still, the room we moved to did not either have clima. We had three children with us. At the end when we checked out and I said I didn’t want to pay full price. The Manager took away the city price and a pomes that my son had. That is almost 15 euro🤣 Never again.

I recently stayed at the Novotel Florence, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected, especially for a hotel under the Accor brand. In the middle of the scorching summer, the air conditioning in my room was not functioning. Despite the staff's efforts to resolve the issue, it took quite a bit of time, leaving me stressed and uncomfortable in the sweltering heat. To make matters worse, the first room I was given lacked basic amenities like a kettle and soap for a proper shower. It was disappointing to find such oversights, especially in a hotel that markets itself as a higher-end option. While the staff were helpful, their attempts to fix the AC added to the stress, as I was left waiting in discomfort. Reflecting on the experience, I deeply regret not choosing a different hotel, such as an ibis. Given the quality I encountered at Novotel, staying at a less expensive option like ibis would have offered the same level of service—if not better—without the high price tag. This stay was far below the standard I have come to expect from Accor hotels, and I would hesitate to return to this property in the future.

Pricing: I was under the impression of booking a room when I made my reservation, only to be told that my wife had also to pay a supplement to be in the room because apparently Accor prices the room per person. Not a pleasant surprise, especially when comparing with others. Room: okay room although having been upgraded. A few annoying basic things like an empty soap dispenser, no complimentary water, skipping Internet and TV.
