Stayed two nights at Novotel Firenze Nord Aeroporto to attend a concert. The hotel was well-maintained, though it clearly showed its age in places. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was generous with a good variety. The real issue was noisy maintenance work. On Saturday the 27th, after getting back late the night before, I was woken up at 8:36 AM by the sound of a drill. Completely unacceptable for a hotel that should let guests rest, especially on a weekend. Overall a decent stay let down by poor timing on maintenance work — something the hotel should address for future guests.

We stayed at the Novotel Florence nord for two nights, and had an enjoyable stay. At first I thought the location being out of town a bit would be a problem but with inexpensive and convenient public transport to and from the city it wasn’t a problem. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant and bar, but the best things are the simple like a warm welcome and friendly face at checkin. Thank you Jean Michel for your hospitality. The staff in the bar were great too, bending over backwards to ensure we were happy!
