No complaints about the room, location and staffs, all are excellent. The only gripe is though it is winter, there is a very strong sewage smell especially on the ground floor which smelled really bad.

I loved my room, and only wish the weather would have allowed me to use its private terrace. The location is excellent, and the staff were friendly and had great suggestions. I do think breakfast left a little to be desired... it would have been nice to have the ability to order hot food, for example.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is unbeatable - Duomo is just around the corner and there are many shops and restaurants in that area. The main train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella) is a few minutes by foot. Great location for sightseeing; we walked everywhere - to Piazza della Signoria, Piazza della Repubblica, Ponte Vecchio, even to Piazzale Michelangelo. We got upgraded to a Junior Suite and the room was amazing. All necessities were provided (plush slippers, bathrobes), and there was also complimentary still and sparkling drinking water. They also had something like an evening turndown service with someone checking in and leaving candies. We had a very comfortable stay and this was our favorite hotel of the trip. Oh, there was a smell in the lobby, which was probably what some of the other reviews talked about, caused by the city's sewage system, but it didn't bother us at all. We stayed on a low floor just above the lobby and there was no smell in the room.
