The hotel’s location was very good, and the price was reasonable for what we paid. The breakfast was also decent and offered good value for the room rate. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The room was not cleaned properly, and the refrigerator had a terrible smell. It was so bad that we couldn’t even open it. This really affected our overall experience and should definitely be addressed. I also took photos of the room after it was cleaned and showed at the reception. I would recommend this hotel for location and price rate.

We were disappointed. Whilst reception staff were welcoming, breakfast was extensive with generally a good selection, the bedroom itself was disappointing. The room was provided with a kettle and a paper cup each. The paper cups were replaced on the second day, and we did have one portion each of milk replaced. However, tea and coffee were not topped up. The bathroom initially looked fine but there was a stain on the curtain. The shower was a ridiculous design with the tap placed under and behind the shower head, there was no way of avoiding getting doused in water. I expect at least a dedicated shampoo and a body lotion in an advertised four star hotel. We were confronted with a basic all in one. Curiously the previous Ibis Style scored higher on this point. What added to the overall impression of budget accommodation was the failure to have anywhere to hang a towel either for after a shower or to help the environment by re-using. We hung the towels on hooks in the bedroom but this was a mistake as the towels failed to dry.

I stayed at Mercure Bergamo Centro Palazzo Dolci during a business trip and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel’s biggest advantage is its excellent location. The train station, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, and shops are all within walking distance, making it very convenient to get around without a car. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Città Alta is also within walking distance for those who enjoy exploring the city on foot. Overall, it offers great value for money and is an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Bergamo.

Satisfied with hotel and grateful to get upgraded to a balcony room. However i had a single bed in my room in addition to the booked double bed that was not required. This took up unecessary space and made access to balcony difficult. Also had a Maid enter my room on last day at 0900 without knocking and the DND sign was in place. She was dismissive and demanded i check out.
