I recently stayed at the Novotel Poznan Centrum for the first time. I chose your hotel based on its excellent location and the impressive photos online, but unfortunately, my experience did not live up to expectations. As an ALL Gold member, the check-in process left much to be desired. While it was quick, and I understand that a room upgrade wasn't possible due to a major event at the Poznań International Fair (MTP), the reception staff failed to mention or provide my loyalty welcome drink. However, the most significant issue was the room itself. Given your 4-star rating, I was incredibly disappointed by the standard of the accommodation. The room felt outdated, looked visibly dirty, and had holes in the walls. Furthermore, there was a persistent, unpleasant odor that required me to keep the windows open. Because I was traveling on a tight business schedule, I did not have the time to address this with reception during my stay. I have stayed in many 4-star properties, but this unfortunately fell far short of the standard I expect from the Novotel brand. I hope this feedback helps you improve the room conditions for future guests.

The location of the hotel was paramount in us booking it. Just minutes away from the train station, the club which we had prebooked for an event and a gorgeous park. We did not have enough time to explore the area or the shops as we were staying only for a single night, but it was very nice experience. The room was beautiful, great view, all the amenities in place (except for the slippers). The reception was spacious and nice, the same goes to the front desk people. I would definitely revisit the hotel and the city just to experience more of what it has to offer. Plus note, a coffee machine by the elevators sponsored by Starbucks. Convenient in case you need a quick cup of coffee on the go.

The room was hot and I was told to just open a window, which did not help and was noisy. I was not able to rest for the full stay. I asked for a fan twice and was ignored. I had maintenance come to the room because the thermostat said 25C in the room when the front desk said it should have been 21C. Maintenance said nothing was wrong and to just open a window.

Overall a pleasurable experience. The pros are the fantastic location, size and variety, cleanliness. I've appreciated the option to not have the room made up every day - more hotels should follow this example. The hotel is large and sees a massive amount of footfall. Despite all this, there is never a queue or shortage of staff to help you either at the reception, concierge, bar, waiting staff, etc. The 4 elevators really contribute a lot to this as well. Breakfast is great with perfect variety, always clean and uncluttered. The food and service at the hotel's restaurant are top. We have never had a problem finding parking spots in the hotel's own underground parking. Two aspects that left a somewhat bitter aftertaste to the experience were the lack of room slippers provided by standard, which in a hotel of this calibre should be a non-negotiable. I understand it is part of the group's strategy to be more sustainable, but having to call repection a few times and then wait for someone to bring them over was a bit frustrating. The biggest minus this hotel has, however, is the impossibility to add any sort of consumption or extra services to the room bill, unless you open a pre-paid tab in advance, which makes zero sence. It is the first time I have ever witnessed this at any hotel I have stayed in and honestly quite annoying to have to always stack up several separate bills for any consumption big or small one makes during his or her stay. Maybe they have had problems with people running away without paying (?) or standard practice in Poland, but even with a credit card on record given during checking in, it is rather unpleasant to be unable to do it.

Had a poor check in experience. Arrived at 10am at the lobby and requested for early check in. Staff didn’t even see my passport or verify my ID and just say kept saying no room. It was a totally unpleasant experience. She was aloof and totally standoffish. What a poor way to start the trip. Other than that, breakfast was good and room comfortable
