We spent a few days of our holiday in Poznań and chose a Novotel hotel. Hotel was belonging to the Accor chain, which is very familiar to us. We were truly impressed by the idyllic old town and liked it very much. It was just a short walk from our hotel. We were also very impressed by the magnificent and well-equipped hotel room, which was a lovely place to return to and rest after day trips and dinner. The view from the hotel room on the upper floors was also truly magnificent and enjoyable. The Hotel breakfasts were varied and tasty. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The price of parking has gone up a lot, the room felt small and the sofa bed didn’t feel safe to sleep on. Badly stocked, no hand wash or shower gel left in the bottles on the wall. No black tea bags left. Also dog in room opposite barking loudly and often. Also breakfast very expensive for what it is and more expensive than it states on the app

A great hotel in a great location. The only downside is the fact that dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel. We were next door to a family who kept leaving their dog alone in the room, it barked non stop until they returned. Infuriating to say the least. I spoke to reception on several occasions, who offered to change our room to one across the corridor, which would not have made much difference and certainly not worth the inconvenience of moving. It did stop after three days, assuming the family in question were spoken to or left before we did.

I had issues from the Day 1 I checked in : 1. The phone did not work 2. My shorts got taken 3. Room was not cleaned properly 4. Rude front desk If I have to book this again due to proximity to work and last choice there will be only one reason -GRUSZKA Monika. She saved grace for this place. Her responses were prompt and extremely courteous. I did manage to access a part refund. However ,I mentioned Monika not due to that. Her responses were prompt,actions swift and she showed that she cared. She is an an asset to Novotel Rest - I will not recommend.

The hotel team should have responded promptly, taken ownership of the reported issues and kept you regularly informed from the moment the first problem was raised. In this respect, your criticism is justified. Your feedback has been discussed with all managers and departments concerned. We reviewed both the handling of guest complaints and the communication between the department. Particular emphasis will be placed on clear ownership of reported issues, timely follow-up and ensuring that guests are not required to repeatedly request action. I am very sorry but I do understand that financial compensation could not restore the comfort, confidence and peace of mind that should have accompanied your stay from the beginning.
