Room and amenities were good but the limited room service food provided was less than satisfactory. I believe this was due to the time of year.

The air conditioner in the room was not working at all. I was given an option to move to another room. None of the rooms were actually cold. For breakfast, there was almost nothing to eat. On sunday, we reached the breakfast table at 9:30 am. Please note breakfast time was 6:30 - 11am.. There were no fruits except rotten apples. Only one piece of potato and one scoop of scrambled egg. That’s it. We had to remind them multiple times even then only scrambled egg came around 10:45. There was no water to drink. We had to ask that as well and there was only one attendant taking care of all customers. The cutlery was also not clean properly.

The hotel is located anout half hour walk from the old town. The reception area was very nice and the staff was welcoming. Our room was on the 4th floor and was ok for 2 nights. It was spacious but needed some maintenance. There was some mould in the bathroom walls, the rain shower head was spraying water mostly towards the walls, the safe was not working and it had no fridge or minibar. The bed also had a damp smell. We mentioned this to the reception lady and took note of it. She also said that the type of bedroom comes with no fridge but we have stayed in other Mercure hotels and have had one so we assumed it would have it. It would help to make it more notorious at the time of booking.

Room had a strange smell There was dirty laundry that belong to last guest that hadn’t been cleaned out Room key got deactivated every day - had to go to the counter multiple times
