Well located hotel on the tram line. However, for $400/ night, I expected my room to be cleaned better. When I returned after my first day, my bed wasn't made, and there were still old tea cups around the room.

I picked this hotel for the location. It was very comfortable and clean. Lovely staff, nice to have a drink on the rooftop and breakfast was busy but well managed. I’d stay here again.

I chose this hotel specifically because I was participating in the Rome Half Marathon. I expected the hotel, like many others during major sporting events, to make some adjustments to accommodate the needs of runners. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Breakfast and the kitchen only opened at 7:00 a.m., even though participants needed to leave the hotel around 6:45 a.m. to reach their designated starting areas without any problems. It was disappointing that the hotel had made no apparent arrangements for such a major sporting event. Even a simple early breakfast would have made a big difference. Another major disappointment was the swimming pool, which was already closed despite the excellent weather. Being able to cool off and relax in the pool before and after the race would have been a great way to recover. Overall, the hotel showed very little consideration for guests participating in the event. Given the scale of the Rome Half Marathon, I would have expected much better preparation and flexibility. Unfortunately, these shortcomings significantly affected my experience.

Great stay and location - near all the sites and easy to walk to everywhere I wanted to go. Staff were friendly throughout - did think breakfast and dinner could be improved. The location is probably the strongest point of this hotel, with easy access to the Colosseum and central Rome. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was quite disappointing, especially considering the price. The difference between the promotional photos and the actual condition of the hotel was quite striking. Both the lobby and my Premier Room felt dated and, in my opinion, more comparable to a basic 3-star hotel than what I expected from a Mercure at this price point. I was also asked at pre check-in email whether I preferred a better view or a higher floor, which made me expect that some consideration would be given to the room assignment. However, I was assigned a room on the 2nd floor with no meaningful view at all. Overall, the location is excellent, but apart from that I found it difficult to justify the room rate. The property would benefit significantly from refurbishment and an update to its facilities

It was a nice hotel. The only downfall was the air Condition was not cold enough. Even though you could turn the temperature down, it did nothing. It’s the mostr expensive hotel of our 3 hotels in Italy and it’s the only one, we didn’t sleep well because it was not cool enough in the room.

We found taking a taxi from the airport was our best option. The hotel was clean and the staff was very receptive to our requests. This is close to the Colosseum, which also makes it close to many restaurants. The park nearby is nice with ruins. We were upgraded on our room and it was clean. The layout seems a little awkward, but was good for our purposes.
