Overall, it was a good experience. I say good because I felt there was room for improvement. I was kept waiting before someone came to take my drink order, a small thing yes, but I did mention, “I’ll order a drink after I eat”. The other very small thing was my room swipe took several attempts to open the door. Otherwise, it was a good stay, thank you.

We arrived very late at night and the gentleman who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful. He also served us drinks as well as looking after a few late arrivals as well.

Our room was quiet and functional except for the lack of a kettle in our bedroom. Everything was clean and the swimming pool was a delightful bonus. It cost more than €50 to get a taxi from the railway station, but it €30 using a Bolt (Uber-like service) and under €15 by train and bus from the city centre. The shuttle service was €6/person and was a very helpful option to get to airport in good time. The very best thing about this ibis hotel was their flexibility in giving us an extra night when our flight was mysteriously cancelled. They kept the same room rate and we are very grateful for their service in a stressful situation. In times of greater uncertainty in international flying such a considerate attitude is highly praiseworthy.

Good hotel snd value for money for an overnight stay at Frankfurt Airport. Shuttle bus is handy and reliable. The hotel is clean, simple and quiet and that’s what you want after a long haul flight. Nothing fancy but happy to stay again.
