The room was located right next to the elevators and there was also a construction site outside the window, which made it difficult to relax. The curtains would not close properly, so too much light came into the room early in the morning. The lounge provides an à la carte breakfast, and the food was really good.

All staff members were lovely and truly engaged to deliver a memorable experience. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was of high quality and served with smiles. I'm only giving a lower rating as personally, I wasn't a big fan of the room decor. The black-grey-purple theme was very dark, and the bathroom felt old-fashioned. Even the gym seemed darker than necessary. But this is subjective, and the color theme is nothing the staff can influence or change.

I had a truly memorable stay at Sofitel Saigon Plaza, and I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their warm and professional hospitality. The hotel itself was very enjoyable. The swimming pool was relaxing, the breakfast was delicious, and the room felt cozy, peaceful, and comfortable. I also had a very special experience in the suite, which made the stay even more memorable. One of the most interesting discoveries was that MEZZ, the breakfast restaurant, transforms in the evening into ST25, a Michelin-recognized Vietnamese restaurant. It was a unique and enjoyable part of the stay. Most of all, the staff made the experience special. Everyone I met was professional, warm, and always greeted us with a smile. At breakfast, Thao Nhi kindly offered pastries from the bread basket, and the warm pain au chocolat was a perfect little treat after the meal. Captain and breakfast server Thao Nguyen also gave us a thoughtful explanation of Vietnamese coffee, described the differences between each style, and recommended what we might enjoy. In the Lounge, Do Thanh Ngoc, whose nickname is Tina, was especially kind and memorable. She noticed that my wife was not feeling well, showed genuine concern for her, and warmly welcomed her back when she appeared again the next day. That small but thoughtful human touch meant a lot to us. At ST25, our server Thien Thuy provided friendly and attentive service. He also helped us with the pronunciation of Vietnamese dishes, which made the dining experience more enjoyable and personal. Overall, I was very impressed by the comfort of the hotel, the dining experiences, and above all, the professionalism and warmth of the team. Sofitel Saigon Plaza gave us a stay that felt both elegant and genuinely human. However, there was one point at checkout that I found very difficult to understand. Marcus from the Lounge kindly explained that, because I had used a Suite Night Upgrade, the invoice could not be split and I could not use my ALL points for part of the payment. He mentioned that this was related to the updated Terms & Conditions, but I was not able to receive a clear explanation of which specific condition applied, or why the full payment had to be made by cash or card. This was confusing for me because earlier this year, at Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai – MGallery, I stayed three consecutive nights under three separate reservations. Although the hotel mentioned that Accor’s payment system had some limitations, they still handled the invoices in a different way. At Sofitel Saigon Plaza, I was simply told that the invoice could not be split due to the updated T&C, and therefore ALL points could not be used. I would like to emphasize that this issue does not change my appreciation for the hotel team, who were excellent throughout the stay. Marcus was polite and professional when explaining the situation, but I would still appreciate a clearer explanation from Accor Customer Service regarding the current policy on Suite Night Upgrade stays, invoice splitting, and the use of ALL points for payment. Once again, I would like to sincerely thank the Sofitel Saigon Plaza team for making our stay warm, comfortable, and memorable. In particular, I would like to express my appreciation to Thao Nhi, Do Thanh Ngoc / Tina, Thien Thuy, Thao Nguyen, Marcus, and all the other team members who made our stay so special.

I initially visited for a day pass with swimming pool and the gym facilities. The staff was wonderful especially Ha, the gym manager who offered good advice as well as fitness support. He introduced me to Accords Plus and I joint. I booked one night and redeemed another night as part of my Accord Gold Plus offer, the overall stay is fantastic, all the staff including the check in area, everyone was great. Thank you Ha and everyone at Sofitel Saigon Plaza.
