I would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Wellington. Whilst not in the heart of the city, everything is within walking distance. Staff are very helpful, room is well appointed and comfortable and there is a chocolate hour every day from 4pm-5pm!

The room was small but comfortable. I asked to move after the first night, as there was a consistent tapping noise. This was accommodated, and I was asked to pack up my things. In my haste to do this before my conference started, I forgot my charger, which was recovered and returned to me, and my bathing suit, which was hanging in the bathroom drying. My bathing suit disappeared, never to be found. The duty manager and another staff member searched the laundry and asked housekeeping, but it never turned up. I had to go and buy a new bathing suit. It is very disappointing, as the tog shorts I lost were brand new. The overall stay was somewhat tarnished by this experience.

Can't fault anything. Breakfast was included with our room rate and was excellent. Pool was warm, clean and a good way to start the day. Chocolate hour afternoon tea gives a nice vibe. All staff super friendly and helpful. Thank you for making it a great stay.

Everything was great, the valet service was worth the money as street parking seemed like it would have been problematic, and they even had our car ready for when we had to leave quite early in the morning. The only small negative is that the air conditioning in our room was quite loud when it was turned on, and we found it difficult to sleep while it was in operation.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mövenpick! The food was delicious, and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, both in the hotel and restaurant. A very special mention to Harton, who truly made our stay extra special. He has such a genuine warmth about him and made us feel so welcome and well looked after. He was thoughtful, attentive, and always had a lovely smile. You can really tell when someone genuinely enjoys looking after people, and Harton is definitely one of those people. Thank you, Harton, for your wonderful hospitality! We also loved the pool, and Chocolate Hour was such a lovely treat, especially for my son! Overall, such a wonderful stay with great food, lovely facilities, and amazing people. We would happily come back!

The hotel is just what you want in a short stay. The rooms are nice and clean, the bed is comfortable, the room is pitch dark, its extremely quite with no road noise or from any other part of the hotel. The food is great, parking is easy, staff are friendly and the location is not bad either with a great view from the restaurant. Wish i had more time here then just a quick in an out because the deserts looked great and the pool was also very inviting.

I booked very last minute as a result of a flight cancellation but I was greeted with warmth, there was already a blue cheese platter (my favourite) in the room and a wonderful breakfast box was delivered at 6am the following morning as I had to head back to the airport before breakfast service. Mainly good, as usual. Embarrassing mix-up claimed over the late checkout that the deputy manager agreed with me...and then I got called to ask why I was still in my room. I rushed then to leave (even though it was before the time negotiated) and nothing (like, say, comping my breakfast costs) were offered. I'll learn form that not to do the hotel a favour!
