Beautiful building that got an horrendous, cheap renovation some years ago. Design is loud and of very poor taste, feels like a third-rate train station hotel The staff is friendly but insufficient, and poorly trained about the area. Example: Reception desk staff had no idea about thermal facilities in the city (althought it's the key feature of the town...)

Everything went well, the room was clean and had everything I need. The two young men in the restaurant did a wonderful service for dinner.

The hotel was perfectly located for my one night « halfway «  break. The staff was very friendly but couldn’t make up for the fact that the hotel really needs a refreshment renovation. The rooms are ok if you don’t mind cracked porcelain ware in the bathroom. The common spaces have a really run down look. I was given little choice in terms of dinner time (why?) so was expecting a full restaurant but actually found myself in a largely empty space? The announcement « free parking available «  is misleading as it turns out that the hotel does mot have its own parking lot and you have to park in the street in front of the hotel ( which is free). Breakfast was a good standard. All in all the hotel was ok for a 1 night stay but I would not recommend for a longer vacation.
