Based on my previous Mercure hotel experience elsewhere, was expecting 4* and not 3* experience. People were very nice but no AC, Traditional keys locker, small rooms and bathrooms.

Dear Mr d., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. Indeed, we are a 3 stars hotel for the moment. We hope to see you again and have the opportunity to give you a better experience. Sincerely, Nolwenn Piovarci Chef de Réception

The staff and room were great. The only down side was that the outdoor pool wasn’t working during our stay

Dear Mr M., Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. We are sorry for closing the outdoor swimming pool for 2 days due to technical issue. Looking forward to seeing you again, Sincerely, Nolwenn Piovarci Chef de Réception

Good stop-over hotel

Hotel where I used to stay several times 15 years ago when traveling to Spain. It was very good back then so it made us go back this year. Although parts of the hotel may use an update, the hotel itself is very good and clean. + friendly staff + not too far away from the highway + beautiful region (perfect for a stay of 2-3 nights) + wide variety of choice during breakfast + own free parking lot next to the hotel + parkview = the best (quiet and a lot of trees) + clean + Saint-Nectaire = very cozy - restaurant opens late in the evening (too late for younger children) - rooms are really really small when staying with a family of 4 in a family room The restaurant doesn't serve aligot anymore which is a pity because they used to make it very good.

Terrible service, not a destination, possible as a stop over to break up a long drive

Corrie333 Couples - TripAdvisor review

Stayed one night here and that was enough. This was an overnight stop to break up a long drive. We checked in just around dinner time, the check-in staff was very impersonal, key and room number and sent us on our way, very uninformative about the hotel and area. We put our bags in our room and then went to the hotel restaurant to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. We were greeted by a hostess who asked us if we had a reservation. We had not reserved but the restaurant well into dinner time was only a fraction full. We were turned away, no service without a reservation, the hostess, a very unpleasant young girl just walked away huffing that the front staff should have informed us of the restaurant policy. So here we are in a small town, with no idea how to get dinner, no suggestions or help from the hotel. Fortunately, we were able to find one restaurant in the town just down the street from the hotel that was open. The local restaurant was very busy but we were able to get a table and endure a meal in a much nicer environment than the sad restaurant at the hotel (so in the end we were lucky that eating at the hotel wasn't possible. The room at the hotel was simple but clean enough. No air conditioning which was not great. Hotel breakfast was at the restaurant that had turned us away the night before, the breakfast was very unappetizing (we again felt lucky having not been served the previous night). We had initially planned to spend the morning at the hotel to go to the spa and relax but in the end decided to check out early and just cut our loses. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for anything more than a basic roof over their heads. This hotel was well over priced for the service and what they offer. Well below any Mercure hotel I have stayed in the past.

Dear client, We are very sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay in our hotel. You seem surprised that you had to book a table in order to eat in our restaurant, but it is written in our website and we advise to book a table especially during summer which is our high season. So unfortunately you could not be able to eat in our restaurant. We are therefore deeply sorry to read that you think our beautiful and impressive restaurant room is sad and that you did not take time to enjoy our services such as the swimming-pool or our local beakfast. I understand you disappointment but we regret that you did not tell us anything during the stay. We wish you a pleasant day and a better stay in your future reservations in the hotels of the group. Best regards, Nolwenn Piovarci Chef de Réception
