The experience was awful, we woke up in the morning to find out that there is no water in the bathroom and we could not flush the toilet, it took an hour to get hold of the reception and we had been told that they don't know why there is no water in the hotel and they will send us a bottle of water so we can at least brush our teeth but nobody turned with the water. Breakfast was ok and at 11.30 am we went back to the room to find out that the water was back but it was running yellow with soil, we run the bathtub for 15 minutes but the water still running dirty. finally we gave up and had to check out with no shower because I had a flight to catch at Nice airport. at check out the male receptionist told me that I could wait longer for the water to clear. when I asked for a discount, he said he has no authority to do so and that a manager will contact me on Monday but I never heard anything yet.

Very friendly and professional staff. Nice hotel in good condition despite its years, perfectly clean and chic and welcoming. Expected standard with a Pullman and we appreciated it.

We arrived after to the Pullman after our trip from Umbria in Italy at 23.00hrs. We had an amazing experience there a couple of years ago. The check-in was quick and we were surprised to see that this Pullman is not in the American Express Fine Resorts & Hotels collection anymore. We got our roomkey and went to our room. This is where the trouble started. The towels were damp (literally), the minibar empty and we wanted to have something quick to snack before going to sleep. We then tried to phone the reception only to discover that the phone in our room wasn't working. I had to call with my mobile to the hotel reception and explain the situation. The receptionist first said that we didn't know how to operate the phone and came to our room to find out that the phone wasn't working. I explained the situation with the towels where he replied: I can't do anything for you please inform housekeeping the next day... And the last drop in the bucket was the problem with the roomservice that we couldn't reach. His recommendation: Maybe order a pizza from the outside... He then just left without saying a word... I had a chat with my partner and we decided this is not the hotel we would like to stay at. I went downstairs and explained to the receptionist again the whole situation and nearly begged for a solution. The answer remaind the same however: I can't do anything for you. Please explain this to the manager tomorrow. I decided to checkout (1hr of total stay) and he began the checkout process with deducting the full amount of our entire stay without telling me anything. I found this out through the Amex app. I confronted him with this and he said (again) I can't do anything for you please discuss this with the manager tomorrow. At this point I wanted to get away immediately because I was tired, frustrated and angry. Our Amex concierge quickly made a reservation at another hotel that we didn't know: The Martinez in Cannes. We went there only to discover that not only the hotel was fully staffed (e.g. more people around than the receptionist), had 5 stars, was on the beach but also was a lot cheaper not even counting the free perks and upgrades. We finally could go back to sleep. The next day I went to the Pullman hotel and explained the situation and the manager resolved this situation immediately and was surprised to see that the receptionist, who turned out to be the night manager as well, could have offered another room. Replace the telephone. Take our order and etc. He did nothing of the sorts and after 10 minutes I found that the amount has been credited back to my credit card. Which was very much appreciated and my compliments for the quick action that was taken. I really hope the Pullman Cannes Mandelieu Royal Casino fixes this because we loved our stay there and any other Pullman hotel. We regularly travel and we love this chain. This was our first bad experience we had with Pullman in 5 years.
