This hotel has all the charm of an aircraft toilet. From the uncomfortable bed, undersides pillows, dirty toilets, lack of water in the room, weedy shower, to the unsavoury fridge of meals you can microwave in your room for supper. Not great.

Well located as usual for novotel property in France but poor quality of service

This was our first stay in Cannes. I used to live in the area when I was a student a long time ago and warned my wife about the poor quality of service we would be experiencing especially coming from Asia and the Middle East. I have been an ALL member since 2018. My status this year is Diamond, meaning I have enough experience in Accor properties to judge and give a fair judgment. My wife had an exhibition and we took the opportunity to visit the area. We were welcomed at the property with displeasure because we had decided to come with our one-year-old daughter at the last minute. It was seen as a surprise because they had to find a baby cot. I do remember that properties in France are not family-friendly. I was surprised at check-in that I had to give my credit card for any extra. I have never been asked that because my credit cards are usually registered on the ALL profile. I replied that you must have trust issues with your customer even with loyal ones. They ironically replied that even Diamond customers sometimes leave without paying and that there is nothing special about them since they can leave without paying. I was really surprised by this reply though. I executed myself and paid the total amount of our stay in advance to change the atmosphere. I was surprised that the welcome drink is only available for cardholders at this particular property. Even Greet offers a drink for every person staying in the room. Finally, they gave us a spacious room at 3:30 pm which was fine by me with the baby cot. I appreciated the fact that bathrooms and toilets were separated. We stayed for three nights and the team became nicer over time. They were highly disappointed when I asked them to confirm that diamond members have complimentary breakfast on weekends. They had to recheck twice but ended up complying. Anyway, Nice location very close to La Croisette and le Palais des Festivals. If you come from abroad, please do not be surprised by the service. it seems that Accor has different standards in France. Their marketing should stop saying french art de Vivre. By the way, I am French and have been living abroad. I do not want to be accused of being anti french.

Room were we stayed was pretty big but definitely very old. Tiny toilette, also not close to the main bathroom(and not conmected). A couple of tea filters to insert into mugs at breakfast were dirty with previous tea leaves inside. Not general good quality feeling at breakfast as concern food (fruits in syrup) and small offer; I have eaten the less possible in not a comfortable environment. Welcome drink was consisting in one juice only for 1 person; the receptionist gave an extra water for free underlining anyhow that ilthe one included was only 1(We were 2 adults and 1 child). At Mercure Nice where we stayed previously we had a welcome drink at the bar for all the three occupants. On the room fridge(empty) it was written to ask the reception for bottle of water for free; at the reception told me that it has been substituted with water dispenser near the lift; as the general perception of cleanliness in the hotel was not good, we have decided to leave it. Generally speaking we had a not good stay; if nothing changes we won’t choose this hotel anymore. This just to share my experience

Decent location all things considered, staff is not very friendly

My wife and I along with our 2 year old daughter stayed there for a couple of nights. Check-in was a little unfulfilling as not everything was fully explained, liked the "restaurant". We did have a really nice room just next to the elevators on the corner. The size was great for our family. It was probably the best hotel layout that we had on this trip around the French Riviera.
