Friendly no fuss welcome at reception and quickly given our room key and important information. Adequate, clean room typical of the Ibis brand only thing I would have liked is plugs / ports for usb charging which we have seen in other hotels in the brand but that’s being really picky!

The people were good but the air conditioning was not working and we slept very badly. The lovely receptionist said that the manager had turned off the air con as it was now winter. It was 26.5C when we arrived at 8pm after a long drive from Spain! She got us a fan but it was difficult to sleep through the noise of it.

One side of the bed is against the wall which is not easy to get in and out for older peoples. Otherwise the staff was excellent, rooms clean, good location. breakfast was good and nice staff. No elevator but having been there before, I requested ground floor which was granted.

This hotel is located with easy access into the center of Angouleme. Typical Ibis stay. Bed comfortable, room quiet, tv and internet good, room clean and shower good. Perfect stay but it was strange that the hotel did not have an elevator and we had to walk up a flight a stairs to our room.

Pleasant, efficient welcome. Hotel easy to find an conveniently located. Nearby Steakhouse ideal for evening meal. (10% discount offered for hotel guests). Room OK, bit small but functional and clean. Comfortable bed. Service and breakfast very good. Would recommend and happily stay over again.

Very good, only criticism was breakfast, coffee machine not working, replenishing of food non existent ( customers shouldn’t have to ask) plus bread although fresh very “spongey”. Overall we thought breakfast was poor.

The hotel was very tired and shabby. The sign above the doorway was missing. One of the bedside lights was broken and the flooring in the bathroom was not fitted properly and a hazard. The whole place looked like it needed a makeover. This hotel was not a budget one so-dread to think what the budget next door was like!!!!
