We stayed for 4 nights at Sofitel Darling harbour, the view each morning (we booked a darling harbour view) was perfect waking up and opening the curtains to the harbour. The pool was also gorgeous even though a little cold, the infinity pool overlooked darling harbour. The hotel is undergoing some renovation however we've didn't notice any noise. The room itself was a really good size and even offered a seating area, it was modern and very decorated. We'd definitely visit again!

The hotel is clean, elegant, quiet, and offers many amenities to suit your needs. Friendly staff and readily available. My only personal concern is that the bed and pillows was too hard.

We stayed for 5 nights and once again had an amazing stay. The hotel is in a fabulous location and an easy walk to all areas or transport. The hotel is fantastic, staff are lovely, the Executive lounge was great as usual albeit a lot more crowded this visit. Our room was very comfortable and we got absolutely no noise from any of the surrounding construction (30th floor). The gym abs pool were also good. The only criticism we have is that the air conditioning in the Executive Lounge and bars was set far too cold, so that it was actually uncomfortable to spend too long in those areas, and your food gets cold quickly. It wasn't just us and we heard numerous people complaining about the temperature. But other than that we had another fabulous stay and will return.

The good: - property is quite nice - decent location (even with the construction going around) The Bad: - strange room design : coffee machine is placed in an area where there are no outlet for power and was advised pick it up and plug it somewhere else. Choice of machine : The pods for the coffee machine only do espresso , and to make a long black : use kettle (little things yes but it’s a 5 star you expect better thought) - the staff and experience - the staff seem to make 0 effort in trying to make your experience better , no acknowledgment of their own loyalty program status or benefits, just seem to give you very basic polite service. Even the bar staff are disinterested. I stay in CBD hotels a few times a year, there are some that are exceptional with service. This one misses the mark by a long shot. Would I stay again: for the price, probably not.
