Dear Team, I am writing regarding our stay at Sofitel on 31 May in a Superior Twin Room. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and service did not meet the standards expected of a Sofitel property. Upon entering the room, we found that the toilet had not been cleaned properly and there was a noticeable urine odour in the bathroom. Even my six-year-old daughter to comment that she could smell "wee" in the bathroom. This was both unpleasant and concerning from a hygiene perspective. Additionally, no dental kits were provided in the room. I requested dental kits through your service at approximately 6:00 pm, but they had not been delivered when we returned around midnight. We therefore had to contact Reception to follow up and request delivery. The staff member who eventually delivered the dental kits was also discourteous, which further detracted from our experience. Given Sofitel’s reputation for hospitality and service, these issues were disappointing. I would appreciate it if you could investigate these matters and advise what steps will be taken to address them. I look forward to your response.

Location and hotel including room was great. Staff were fantastic and friendly, it would have been nice on our first morning at breakfast to be shown/told about the layout but we were just seated. We were offered this both following mornings. The bathroom door is heavy to slide and the glass while opaque still shone light through the room if you need to get up and use the toilet in the middle of the night. Not ideal for your partner trying to sleep. On checkout I was charged for a bottle of wine we had ordered under the $100 voucher we had received. The in room information around what food and drinks are available is pretty much non existent, the app doesn’t have much information at all
