Underwhelming for a 5-Star Experienc

Overall, this stay felt more like a 4-star experience and fell short of expectations for a 5-star property at EUR 250/night, especially compared to my experiences at other Pullman and Accor properties. The room was fine, but pillow options were limited and uncomfortable, and the air conditioning was ineffective. The gym was small, with a limited set of dumbbells and a partially broken bench. Breakfast selection was good, though the egg station staff, despite their best efforts, struggled with basic requests, resulting in delays and incorrect orders. This appeared to be more of a management issue with inadequate staff training rather than a reflection of staff capability.

+ The hotel is close to the zoo. + located in a nice area. + Swimming pool is good size and wasn’t busy. - we stayed for 2 nights for a chilled time before moving to city centre for the rest of our holiday. On the first morning I was woken up by the sound of water dripping. This eventually turned to full on waterfall in the room. Maintenance guy was in pretty quickly but couldn’t stop the waterfall. Needless to say our morning was ruined. We went out for a couple of hours when we returned new room wasn’t ready. There are easy ways to keep your guest happy e.g. offer a coffee or drinks voucher maybe? I felt for a hotel that price there should be more thoughtful customer service. If it wasn’t the flooding incident I would have given it 9/10.
